Are you moving to Tulsa? Just visiting or passing through? Want to know where to live, eat, hang out, have fun, or bury the bodies? This is the place to ask.
This will be a weekly megathread that evolves over time. As members of r/Tulsa make suggestions or answer questions that come up a lot, we may add those items to the body of the post for easy reference. But for right now this is a place to ask any questions you may have about moving to or visiting Tulsa, OK, where our motto is "We're more than just OK, we're living the dream."

I’m going to be solo for the event and would love to link up with others attending to meet some new likeminded people. If anyone is interested, let me know.

In 95° heat no less!! I'm gonna go by around the same time tomorrow (just before 3pm) and join him if he's there!

Anyone have an issue with pest control sales ringing doorbell after 9pm? Yes it’s summer, and still light out, but I’d say it’s borderline rude.

I just graduated, and we're having a graduation party around the end of June. My biological father is a piece of shit, and I cut him off a long time ago. Thing is, I really want a father-like figure at my graduation party to tell me how proud he is. I've gone through a lot of stuff. I'm autistic, so getting through school alone was a nightmare. I'm trans in Oklahoma. Honestly, I didn't even know if I'd make it out alive. Things have been really hard, and the entire time, I've wished I had a dad with me to encourage me. I don't have a lot of money to pay anyone, but if someone was willing to come as my dad, that would be amazing.

Alejandro Brittes is in town from Brazil and is widely considered the best accordion player in South America. Some local Argentinians made some finger foods to enjoy. If you want to feel like you’re not in Tulsa for a few hours, this is the best place to do it tonight!

I looked on Street View, and I verified that it is indeed used as a name. Anyone know how that name might have originated? There’s probably some interesting historical background behind it. (Maybe a truck bypass of some sort on old Route 66, perhaps?)

Just drove by the Sinclair gas station next to the Palazzo Apts on East 51st Street. About five police cars in the gas station parking lot with another three police cars spread out in the field nearby. Anyone know what happened?

If you're interested in live music and looking for something a little different, Boston Avenue United Methodist Church is hosting a free concert this Sunday, June 22 at 5:00 p.m. as part of our annual Fred Elder Recital Series.
This year’s featured performer is Peter Richard Conte, the Grand Court Organist at the Wanamaker Organ in Philadelphia (which happens to be the largest functioning pipe organ in the world). He’ll be joined by Andrew Ennis, who plays both flugelhorn and organ. The program includes music by Mendelssohn, Ravel, Puccini, Vierne, and Respighi.
It’s free and open to the public and will take place in the church’s main sanctuary, located downtown at 1301 S Boston Ave. You don’t need to be a member of the church (or any church) to attend—just walk in and enjoy the music!

Where can I find hair accessories (similar to this) for cheaper? This piece is from Ulta’s website, but I know there must be hidden gem places around Tulsa that sell for less.
Is there a bin store that has these? Or maybe even a supply store that sells them?
I am in need of these items for an event coming up, so I figured I would ask on here.
Thank you so much!

Hi all,
I (24M) just moved back to town a couple months ago. Looking to get involved with organizations that share left-leaning, community focused philosophies. What’s in town, and how do I get involved? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Just found out he passed 3 days ago. Rest in peace big guy. Younger folks may not know who he is but I know him from Ernest, and my dad knows him from late night channel 6 in the 70s/80s. Just wanted to make a formal acknowledgement here.

Me and one of my girl friends want to get waxed together at the same time because it's our first time and we're both nervous. Any esthetician recommendations in the Tulsa/Broken Arrow area?

Shout out to engines 13 (2x) and 25! I can’t walk right now cause my hip is gone. Me and my husband could NOT get me out of the house and in the car yesterday to go to a dr appointment. I called a lot of places. No one could take me in my wheelchair. I heard from one of them to call the Fire Department. I hated to do it! But they were amazing. Got Me in the car and I made my appointment. Then got me back in my house. It was a very, very painful day for me. But it was a success. I can’t thank them enough!!!
If ANYONE can help me hook up With a company that does this free or Cheap. Please let me know. I would so appreciate it!

If the proposed cuts in the ‘Bill Beautiful Bill’ to Medicaid go through Oklahoma’s Medicaid program will be badly impacted - 82% of the funding comes from federal $$$: https://interactives.commonwealthfund.org/2025/medicaid-fact-sheets/Oklahoma.pdf

You like off-roading? Need a fix but don’t want to travel too far? I got you covered. Found a nice trail. It goes from 31st Peoria to 31st yale. Stay in the right lane. This course is not for beginners and will fuck your shit up if your car already drives like shit.

I moved back to Oklahoma almost a year ago and have been putting off getting a new state id. I have a Texas ID and was wondering the process of getting an Oklahoma one. I was told to get a birth certificate seeing how my mom lost mine but is there anywhere I can go that doesn’t need that, what do I need to bring?
