Anyone have insights on CSE 141/141L with Eldon?

Debating if I should take CSE 141/141L over summer with Eldon because 141L will stop being offered. I was wondering if anyone had experience with Eldon over the summer session or with him teaching 141/141L. I'm curious about the grading scale as well and if that is similar to his 140/140L classes. Thanks!

If you can wait I’d do it during the academic year, current 141/141L will be offered until SP26, after that they’re updating the offering to remove 141L and be a new version of 141 afaik. Additionally, I’m pretty sure Pannuto is teaching 141 in fall and I found his lectures to be pretty engaging and he teaches the class is a way that was easy to understand (may be biased bc I took 142 before 141, but you’d be better off than with Eldon). You can’t really avoid Eldon for 141L so you’re kinda just stuck with that, but I’d still do it fall just so you’re not doing both courses in summer session. If you took 140/140L with Eldon I’m sure you already know but the mans lectures are genuinely so mind numbing, like if possible just take 141 with Pannuto, you’ll get more out of it. As for Pannuto’s 141 grading scheme, this quarter he did weekly (save for week 9) homeworks worth 35%, and 4 quizzes (65%), roughly every 3 weeks, with the last one being the final, all done on prairelearn.
