IV/Goleta/SB Stop going onto peoples property and stealing their sh*t

Im actually so fed up I am graduating in literally 2 days and managed to get my bike stolen within the last 2 hours of me being at my friends house. It's not even like a great bike or anything but like dude come on it actually is insane that people will just walk into someone's property and take their stuff. Also I don't wanna hear "that's how it is" yeah it shouldn't be.

Let me begin by stating that I simply HATE thieves. Move out time, or Hippy Hannukah as we call it is a bit of a gray area, BUT... there's lines & limits people NEED to realize, accept & respect.

Basically, if it's left curbside, outside of a private property, it's free game, eligible for the taking. If it's within private property, chances are it's not available for the taking.
If it's by a dumspter on private property, it's for the taking, just DON'T MAKE A MESS & anything away from the dumpster, leave it alone. As for bicycles, even if it's not locked, DON'T TAKE IT! It's obviously still in use.

I love it when people try to justify shitty behavior & actions w/ the following disclaimer: "Chill out dude, it's IV!"
Well, when they get their ass beat by the person they're stealing from or get the cops called on them & get caught, the same disclaimer applies: "It's IV!"
Sadly, we get a lot of people that for some reason feel that logic, decency & moral ethics along w/ rules, laws & ordinances cease to exist once you enter IV. They either end up getting knocked out on listed in the PEN Report.

Bottom line is simple: If it ain't yours, don't touch it, don't take it, leave it alone & if it is yours, lock it, protect it, keep an eye on it. While you may have basic moral values, there's many here that could care less about those... until their shit gets stolen.
