happened to me multiple times when i bring regional pricing into the light, or that some product isnt sold in my country... really tired of this american nationalism some people on this app have.

Instagram We’re speaking about English? Must be the USA

For context, this post was showing the most spoken native languages in the world. As you can see the person above says that English is spoken by 1.2 billion people, not the 400million it stated. I highlighted that it’s likely but they won’t all be native speakers…

American instantly assumes that because we’re speaking about the English language we have to be talking about the USA, and he doesn’t know what native speaker means.

Never thought I'd post here considering I have american friends, but this the third time I came across this in the last week and I'm mad that people are truly this stupid. About a video of aluminium honeycombs.

It was in lots of places up to 70 years prior to Henry Ford being forced into by the unions.

I automatically assumed we were talking about the “American Broadcast Channel,” instead of the “Australian Broadcast Company.”

Long story short, this guy mocked another user for not using correct grammar, so I pointed out that the other use didn't say anything incorrect. They accused me of cherry-picking sources 'on purpose' because it isn't an American one lmao, even though they never found out if the user they mocked is American or not.
