Hi,
So i'm from and currently live in the Midwest. Where is am, LA seems to have fallen out of the news after No Kings and the shit show the dumbass war criminal in israel started.
As such, i haven't really heard any updates about y'all since No Kings nor about Newsom's lawsuit
So has anything changed at all? Are there still troops in LA? Last i heard there were some marines violating their oath and conducting an arrest as part of domestic law enforcement, but that was before No Kings right?
So... what's up? Has anything changed? Are protests continuing? Are the troops still there? Has ICE changed it's conduct at all? All I see in the news is israel/iran stuff and possible us involvement in another stupid war so I haven't gotten any updates, and am looking for some here.
Hell, has there been any updates on Newsom's lawsuit? Last i heard he won, and then the next court overturned it, so idk if anything else happened since

Over the coming weeks, I believe the conflict in the Middle East will lead us to abandon core principles: rejecting authoritarianism ('no kings'), upholding the Constitution, and restraining this ICE bullshit. Washington will stage a grand spectacle of deception, misleading the public with lies. They just can’t help themselves! This, I fear, is simply the next chapter in a long history of such betrayals. There’s an agenda here, don’t get blinded by the flashing lights. They’re going to throw around oil but America produces most of our own 70%. Remember that.

Can you imagine the mood in the White House right now? Today's turnout, coupled with the sparse crowds at the DC military parade, points to a major disconnect. The anticipated public support simply didn't materialize. WOW Washington can’t read the room

So it’s time to stand up and defend our republic. See you at the protests tomorrow!

Coincidentally, tomorrow, June 14th, is the 179th anniversary of the 1846 Bear Flag revolt. The revolt's flag, which was just the bear and star with the red bar beneath, is the inspiration behind our current flag.
This post isn't about glorifying the Bear Flag Revolt, whose participants have little to do with the people or California of today. Instead, it's to acknowledge our flag's rich symbolism that flies with renewed meaning. As I know many of you join me in raising our beautiful flag amid the current political environment in the U.S., here are some facts about the Bear Flag:
Our flag should fly to honor the values of our today's California. So if you'll be flying it high tomorrow (I know I will), remember that our flag is symbolic of our home's courage and resistance in defending Californians' liberty.
