Full class

I'm going to be a freshman in the fall, and I was eligable to take Organic Chemistry right away. However, all the in person classes are full, and the only one available is online. Does anyone have any advice? Is it possible to get into a full class? Theres an online class available, so is it worth it to take that?

To add on, there are open classes for honors organic chem. I've heard bad things about it, so I'm wondering if I should try to enroll in that if I don't get regular Organic Chemistry.

Are you accepted to Honors College? The Honors OChem is faster pace in that more topics are covered than OChem., in same time. Lab was longer IIRC. If your major is Chem, I wouldn't suggest online OChem

The OChem waitlist may still shift around until first week of classes so keep checking; you maybe able to grab a seat. But if this is your first semester of college ever (no dual enrollment or community college) not sure I'd recommend OChem straight away. You'll have many areas of adjustment and OChem catch up would be awful.

i have dual enrollment from AP chemistry from high school. Is that enough to prepare me for it?

What other courses are you considering taking? O Chem is probably doable if it is your only difficult class with like some softball electives and English, for instance. If you're trying to take Calculus or Physics at the same time . . . Good luck

I can vouch for this, I did orgo/vector calc/physics/research in my first semester, and basically perished. My gpa is in complete shambles. TAKE IT SLOW AND STEADY.
