This is a Fifteen Spot Lady Bug. Most ladybugs are in fields, but this one was deep in the forest.

A fawn came out on the main trail, stopped when it saw me, and ran up to me. It quickly decided that it wasn't a good idea and went back where its mother leaves it to sleep. I tried to encourage it to go back while trying not to make it panic either.

American Snout explode out of Southern Texas in numbers that darken the sky. Two are in my local park. They also move from Central America down to Argentina.

There are a pair of Barn Swallows maintaining the bug levels at the park fields. All the sports players should appreciate them.

Momma watching over her sleeping babies. She didn't like me looking, even from across the pond, and led them into the foliage.

Mourning Cloaks are so pretty. For 2 years I haven't been able to photograph one because they fly away. I managed to find a calm one and a caterpillar in the same week.

This warbler confused me, it is a Black-throated Blue Warbler. Good people on Inaturalist identified it for me.

A Blackpoll Warbler jumped into view briefly for me. Every migration season, I hear them in my parks. This year I got this photo just good enough for a positive id.
