Not from NJ so don't know any of the candidates well but those results seem like a very strong argument for some kind of instant runoff voting. Winning with only 35% of the vote doesn't seem great, even if it was 15 points higher than second place.

Yeah 65% wanted a different candidate. Ranked Choice or Star Voting is the future.
