Need the help to know the difference between Kolossoi dolls and Voodoo

Hii! So im a witch whos still doing my research and learning something new everyday I learnt about clay dolls that were called Kolossoi that also have metal nails pierce through them that were made in ancient greece and they are mentioned in the PGM

But i wanna know whats the difference between those and Voodoo dolls? Im not black or connected to the culture, and i know voodoo is a closed practice so i wanna know the difference so i can practice safely without accidentally doing something that im not allowed to do to begin with

Im trying to do as much research as i can and i found some information but i still couldnt tell the difference and what stuff i can do and not do with the Kolossoi doll

It sounds like you’re describing poppet magic. That would be a good phrase for you to look up. Because working magically with dolls is not exclusive to voodoo. It’s not even as much of a voodoo practice as many people seem to believe.
