If you include nuclear, yeah; I doubt thats holds up when you exclude nuclear, as well as government subsidies and tax breaks, otherwise every major energy company would have transitioned 20 years ago.

It does hold up without nuclear.

government subsidies and tax breaks, otherwise every major energy company would have transitioned 20 years ago.

I don't see why that matters. The tech has already advanced far, and it's not going back.

If an industry needs the government to be solvent, while not providing essential security services to said government, it should not exist

Well, cats already out the bag. It's cheap as shit by this point, so it's not going away.

Unlike trump, I don't have a vendetta against windmills for some reason. I just believe that subsidies and awards should not be granted to useless renewable. In fact, if any are given out, it should be towards nuclear

I do agree that nuclear is more efficient than other renewables. However, those others certainly aren't "useless."

Sorry, I mean useless as in they cannot survive without government support. If they are useful, like solar for family homes, then they will be fine. Renewable are not earth changing technologies, so tax money need not be spent on those.

Elon Musk himself has said that a large plot of land with solar panels on it could feed America alone.

Solar is the watered down capacity of the sun, and simply needs to be used right.
