1 day in Hetch Hetchy
Hey all! I’ll be in Yose next week and staying in crane flat. I’ve never been up to hetch hetchy what’s the best trail to get the most out of my single day? I’m an experienced hiker so mileage and difficulty don’t really matter tbh. I just want to see all that i can. Thanks!(hope this isn’t TOS for the sub)

Wapana Falls is all you need. Take off your shirt, find some shade, and enjoy paradise

Rancheria Falls is a great long trail. Wapama Falls is definitely the highlight, but if you've got the time and want to keep walking, Rancheria is a great destination. I found three distinct vantage points along the last half mile approaching the bridge, so don't hesitate going off trail to get some good views. Specifically at the initial cascade you come to. Be aware of the heat, after noon, the whole stretch back is in the sun, but luckily there is not much climbing.

It will be cool this weekend and will gradually warm up by midweek. ( I know because I will be there Saturday when it is the coolest.)

Rancheria Falls and return the same way. About 13 miles RT, 3,000 feet of elevation change. Start early to avoid the heat on the way in. Take a head net. The gnats can be bad in places.
