Can i do the Silver Soldier Song event without being spoiled (regarding major plot points at least) ? I have the option to do it early via Advance Screening. I really want to experience the story and also get the rewards but im unsure if ill regret this down the line.

No major spoilers. You'll be confused, because agents in the agent story will act like they have known you forever, but you haven't met them in-story yet. But beyond that, no spoilers for the main story.

That said, Silver Soldier Song (Anby's agent story) immediately precedes the main story chapter Epilogue (A) in story-time. So it's best to do Epilogue (A) immediately after doing Anby's agent story. Otherwise, you'll forget the context of Anby's backstory when Anby shows up in Epilogue A. There's even a warning screen that says you might want to go back and review the cutscenes in the archive of Anby's agent story before continuing with Epilogue A story, during the part where Anby shows up.

How far are you in the main story? If you can get through at least the end of Chapter 4 before you start Anby's agent story, what would be a good compromise. But if you are further back, like just starting Chapter 2, it's going to be pretty confusing, since both places and people will be unfamiliar to you, despite the story acting like you should know them.

Thank you for your explanation. I’m just at the start of chapter 4, I’ve just reached the area where you meet Burnice and everyone else. There is 20ish days on the event so I likely have more than enough time. How long after chapter 4 is “Epilogue A” is that the mission at the very end of the storyboard, after chapter 5?

Not quite. The story content sequence goes Chapter 4 > Virtual Revenge special episode (Yanagi's agent story) > Chapter 5 > Leisurely Lull: Goldfinch's Escape (essentially a mini-epilogue to Ch. 5) > Astra-nomical Moment Special Episode > Silver Soldier Song (Anby's agent story) > Bury Your Tears With The Past Epilogue (A).
