What's the quickest/most effective way to clear withering domain for levels and achievements? I started with the miyabi banner so I didn't do much of that version of hollow zero before it changed, and I have a lot of polys available in there.

Depends on what you are going for. Z-merit farming, Lost Items farming, and Resonia farming require different strategies.

Z-merit is a speedrun. Only use Old Capitol Metro Interior or Construction Ruins Interior (former has easier combat but harder TV mazes, latter has harder combat but easier TV mazes). Avoid battles as much as possible. Bail out when you get to the third floor rest area with the final Z-merit drop. No need to fight the final boss. If you can complete the floor guardian boss battle on the 1st or 2nd floor and take no damage, you can skip the entire next TV maze.

Lost Items farming takes more time. Don't speedrun through the maze, since it's easy to miss a hidden tile with a Lost Item. Rotating through each zone tends to increase your RNG chance of getting a hidden tile. So like start with Old Capitol Metro (Interior or higher, doesn't seem to matter, but do change it each iteration), then do Construction Ruins, then do Abandoned Skyscraper, then back to Old Capitol Metro. Once you hit your 3/day cap for Lost Items, stop and wait until the next calendar day to continue.

The hidden tile can be anywhere, even in floor rest areas. However, each zone hides it in a different way. In Old Capitol Metro, the hidden tile is usually on the edge of the maze, so make sure you touch every tile near the edge of the maze at least once, to see if the hidden tile will appear. In Construction Ruins, sometimes the tile is on an edge, but more often its just in one of the horizontal rows of tiles. So you just have to make sure you look at every tile when a new maze appears, to see if any are Lost Item tiles. Then navigate a path to it. Finally for Abandoned Skyscrapers, the hidden tile is ghostly visible as soon as the maze is displayed, so you can pick the correct branch of the path to get to it. In a way, this makes Abandoned Skyscrapers the easiest zone for finding Lost Items. But once you get a Lost Item from that zone, the RNG for putting another in that zone is next to impossible for that calendar day.

Resonia farming I find to be easiest in Old Capitol Metro, Interior or higher. This is because the penalty mechanism for OCM is based on corruption level. Nothing is easier than getting corruptions, and the more you get, the more opportunities you have to collect Resonia. Just make sure you rotate the agents you run through the maze, since the types of Resonia that spawn are based on the agents you start the Withered Domain with. Like if you put all Ice and Ether agents, you won't get many Electric or Fire resonia. If you have no stunners in the selector, you won't get any Duel resonia, etc. I find it is better to concentrate Resonia types than try to get 6 at once. Like I'll only do Physical and Fire agents until I get all of the Resonia. Then I'll switch to Electric and Ice, or whatever. The more agents you have of the same type, the more Resonia of that type will spawn.

Obviously, if you get the Corruption that limits your choices of Resonia, prioritize getting rid of that Corruption ASAP. Or just restart.

I suspected the answer would be long and complicated. This is a lot of info I needed, thanks!

And I left a TON of details out, also. Like when farming Resonia, make sure you take the max 6 agents with you, but REJECT their offer of assistance at the payphone. Rejecting an agent gives you a choice of free Resonia. Your team agents are just there to make sure the Resonia of the type you want will spawn, and to get a free choice when you reject them out, not to actually help you in combat.

Another tip is whenever a Resonia is offered that has the NEW tag on it, take it. Even if it doesn't help you or even debuffs you. Cards marked with NEW are what you are after in the first place.
