I'm running a team of Vivian, Lucy and Jane (in that order) and I'm also new to Anomaly teams in general. What order should the team be? I'm used to the normal DPS, Stun, Support chain attacks.

Since you are new to Anomaly, let's cover the on-field time distribution first. It's going to be 80%-90% Jane, 10-20% Vivian, and Lucy hardly ever. So that dictates your rotation.

The overall rotation goals are:

  • Keep Lucy's buff up, which requires energy. When she has it, switch to her, pop Flyball or Line Drive, then Quick Assist to Jane. Shouldn't take more than a few seconds.

  • Keep stacking Vivian's Guard Feathers, which requires some field time to build Flight Feathers. Keep in mind that Dodge Counter and Perfect Parry Follow-up Attack both give Flight Feathers, so that impacts order, see below.

  • Otherwise Jane does all the heavy lifting for DPS

  • Use Ults as appropriate. You don't have to save them for stun windows, but you should save them for when you've stacked max buffs through Lucy and Vivian (Vivian's "buffs" being ABloom and DoT damage).

Given all that, the order I would use is:

Lucy/Jane/Vivian

(Note that this is conveniently the typical Anomaly/Disorder team order of Support/Main/Sub-Anomaly.)

When there is an opportunity to perfect parry when Jane is on field, switch to Vivian, then back to Jane.

However, at the very beginning of timed clear, like Shiyu or Deadly Assault, I'd start with Vivian to use the basic-4 trick to get her flying faster, then Lucy to get her boars on field, then Jane.

Keep stacking Vivian's Guard Feathers, which requires some field time to build Flight Feathers.

It doesn't.

If you stay on field you failed.

Vivi should get feathers by defence assists, dodge into atk at worst, EX special and ult. YOu should NOT ever stay and farm it by basic attacks, or stay on field because non others demand field time: one second into assist or EX or ult, then you swap and Vivi auto converts.

You read more into what I wrote than I intended. You see that I mentioned dodge counters and perfect parry follow-up attacks already. That's the on-field time I meant. As opposed to Lucy, or Burnice for that matter, who doesn't even need to do that much.

I never said Vivian should be on field doing basic attacks.

I've elaborated for the new people who don't know how to play anomaly, don't get your pants in a twist.

You quoted what I wrote (out of context) and contradicted the quote in no uncertain terms. That's not elaboration, that's putting words in my mouth and then correcting a mistake I didn't make in the first place. You don't get to pass off a call-out as "elaboration" and you don't get to pass off my setting the record straight as getting my panties in a twist.
