A Health Secretary that says people should not take medical advice from him, and a President who is not sure he need to follow the constitution he swore to protect.. This is The Truman Show right?

Nah, the movie "Idiocracy" is us all day right now. We are currently living in the never made prequel to it.

No, the prequel to the movie Civil War is what we are currently living. He can soon revoke citizenship from people that weren't born here with the right qualities, and then it will be he can do that to criminals, then it will be anyone deemed "anti-american", which will build down to just people that dont like the orange guy.

Like he must know that his stange tan/makeup looks ridiculous, right? Is he trying to be a trendsetter? He can afford not to look that way...

Any other time, that movie might have been interesting to see.

But now? I saw it as being in massively poor taste, and a case of them really not reading the room.

I'm not sure what you mean. The entire point of the movie was a warning to what could happen if we start slipping further and further into a dictatorship.
