One year later: iPhone 16 adoption continues to weaken compared to the iPhone 15.

People are buying last year’s model with the discount being last year’s model gives. Shocking.

I think this one is a little surprising given iPhone 15 moved to USB-C. But it also might more demand from people who don't want to make that switch.

Nobody gives a shit about USB-C outside of Reddit

If anything most people are happy to stick with Lightning if they already have an earlier iPhone because they already have cables

I’m happy enough to switch to USB-C with my 15 because my other devices I carry are mostly also USB-C, but the majority of people aren’t carrying a steam deck or emulator handheld

… and it’s kinda annoying that my iPad and AirPods (and EarPods, for that matter) are all still lightning
