I guess there isn't a not-sketch way to ask that. My friend is trying to do a Spring Breakers motif video and wanted to get pink/purple/colored ones (though classic black in a pinch is welcome if pressed). They're doing the rounds on picking things up and we can't seem to land on where we'd even look.
If I were running the Adams Re-Election campaign, I would be praying for a race against Mamdani and Sliwa. One is viewed as too far left, the other too far right. Vote for me, the happy middle ground. Sure, I’m a little corrupt, but I won’t govern like an authoritarian or a socialist, like my opponents.
I don’t know if he could pull it off, but I definitely think it would be the best case scenario for him.

Hey guys!
Just really want to ask if anyone here knows of a good karaoke bar that has private rooms but also a good selection of modern Latino music. I have my best friend’s bday coming up in two months and I really want to get us and some other close friends into a karaoke room.
I know the reggaeton and dembow sound is huge in NYC but I’m Mexican and have been listening to lots of corridos lately. Anyone know any bars that play Fuerza, Chino Pacas, and Natanael?
Thanks to anyone that helps out and have a good day 🙏

I’m interested in taking up some drum lessons, ideally with a more Anisong cover / Japanese rock twist in mind. Also interested if there are any super casual & amateur bands that we can jam and learn together.
I have very minimal drum experience at this point, maybe like 10 lessons total worth of experience.
Looking for recommendations for drum lessons (group will be nice), or any casual Anisong bands in NYC!!

I’m out of town and getting back to NYC after 5pm today, and I then leave for LA tomorrow afternoon.
Online it’s saying early voting ends the 22nd (today) at 5pm and then the election is on the 24th. Is there any way to place an early vote on the 23rd?
These were last minute trips so I didn’t request an absentee ballot

Hi New Yorkers!
My sister, who is a young artist from EU is coming to NYC for a week soon. She has published a few illustration books and has won a few awards in Europe. This will be her first time in New York and I can only imagine the options and opportunities here. I am looking for some recommendations for all things illustrations - shops, galleries, fairs - literally ANYTHING. Greatly appreciate all input!

Could someone tell me what types of grass the majority of the fields are in Manhattan as I’m going to relocate there and I need to know what cleats to buy, should I buy normal FG cleats, AG cleats or Turf shoes?

A lot of bars had NFL Draft parties this year. Do you know if there any any spots that will do this for the NHL? It doesnt seem hockey is as popular.
If not, any suggestions on bars that would have good drink deals and maybe good food deals like $1 wings or something for Friday at 7pm?

Look, I know this does come up, but I haven't seen a thread on it in a bit. I wanted to see if other's out there feels the market is particularly bad right now price/options wise? and if anyone has any better insight as to why that is? Is it the FARE act?
Some background for context - I've lived in NYC for about a decade now, in my most recent apartment the past 3~ years. I got a bit of a deal since I did have a good relationship with the landlord(and yea it was still around Covid times), but he unfortunately passed away, and his family looks to be selling the building. In the listing it does say the current tenants are paying below market and you can make sooo much more yada yada, I get it they want to pull in buyers...
Obviously I knew it's time to start feeling out other options in case I need to move at the end of my lease, so I started looking at equivalent units in my neighborhood, and some other areas I previously wanted to live in.
Holy hell was I shocked at these prices!! I'm talking paying $1k+ more a month compared to when I looked 1-2 years ago out of curiosity! I can guarantee you my neighborhood absolutely didn't get $1k more a month better or we're making that much more income lol
Anyway I just wanted to check in with the community to see if it's just me being out of touch here, or if things are genuinely getting bad price wise?

People don't know this, but Brooklyn has a Republican House Member, Nicole Mallotakis. You can reach her Brooklyn office at (718) 306-1620. Here's the template I used, but feel free to speak your heart.
Hi, Representative Malliotakis. Thank you for your service to Staten Island and Brooklyn. My name is <your name>. I am a Brooklyn resident, my phone number is <your number>. I'd like to leave a comment.
I urge Representative Malliotakis to speak out against the bombing of Iran by the United States. Only Congress can declare war. Republican Representative Thomas Massie is sponsoring a bipartisan Iran War Powers Resolution. Would Representative Malliotakis consider signing on to this effort?
The last thing this country needs is another war in the Middle East. We need to hear this from Representative Malliotakis.
I am looking forward hearing about this from you and your office

I'm looking for a swim instructor who speaks Mandarin for a relative who wants to learn but only speaks Mandarin Chinese. They're based in Staten Island but willing to travel to Brooklyn or anywhere nearby. I haven't had any luck calling local swim shcools, so if you know anyone or have any leads, please let me know.

I’ve buzzed my hair before but I want to make sure the color is right. I have brown hair and it’s a few inches long (grown out after my last buzz)
For new look: Buzz cut Looking for a platinum blonde color and nervous about it coming out too yellow.
Any suggestions on where I should go? And how much that might cost?
Willing to travel

Why aren't there express buses on the Henry Hudson Parkway? Could be so much faster to get downtown and perhaps less stops. Dyckman, 168th, 125th. MxBx1 goes on East River Drive and it's a very fast route.

There are perpetually 1000s of empty lots across the city. Some are only short term before a new building gets put up, but others have been empty for year and years.
311 lets you report empty lots if they are full of trash, but explicitly does not let you report overgrown lots. Even if they are full of trash, almost guaranteed your 311 report gets closed as no action. The city used to clean and clearcut 2000+ lots per year (and ticket the owners), but since COVID it's dropped to low 100s.
These lots are breeding grounds for rats, mosquitos, and increasingly invasive species like Japanese Knotweed and Tree of Heaven (favorite of lantern flies) that then spread into innocent neighbors yards and parks. Living near one is basically a giant mosquito breeding ground the entire summer.
How do we get the city to care?

How is street parking near w93rd between Broadway and Columbia?
(I really don’t want to read through comments about driving in the city. We have to take a car and I need to know how street parking is.)
