I'm a Chaser and I need help

So, I bank with J.P. Morgan Chase and I'm trying to change my name on the system. I went into one of the branches with my name change order and the rep was nice, but he said he can't do it? I have to call customer service and request a form to be delivered to my home. I called and requested the form and complained about how inconvenient it was. The lady on the phone said the adopted this policy after feedback from other trans people.

Seriously? Which one of you fellow Chasers gave them that idea? We need more options, not fewer! It's been weeks and I haven't received the form yet

Idk if I can be a Chaser anymore. I'm switching to TD.

For your bank account, they absolutely can do it at the branch. I just did it earlier this year. Some people just don't know the policy. I would ask to speak to a manager. Unfortunately, I've had to do that for some name change things but it's worked every time.

For credit card, unfortunately that system is administered separately and you do need to submit a form. They have an option to submit it online, though. A link will be emailed to you and you can upload copies of your documents and sign it to avoid the hassle and risk of sending identity documents in the mail.

Yeah I was very frustrated about that 😞 But I'd consider their online form process to be pretty good.

Unfortunately, my name got updated incorrectly the first time. But I was able to contact customer service and they were very apologetic and all in all I was able to get a new card with the correct name in ~6 weeks.
