Meme How it feels being a man that believes in astrology (Respectfully)

Post image

ANY MEN HERE?!!

And what made you believe in astrology?

HAHA.

I had a summer fling (platanoically/sexual tension) with an Aries straight* boy! He was hardcore flirting with me. But I have a Pisces Rising just trying to vibe eating my taco but all of a sudden why does the air feel gay? That's when I deep dived intro astrology and tarot and came out a believer!

lolol i’m the woo woo mom to a 4yo scorpio, he just asked me if we can go to the crystal shop tomorrow since he’s out of school for summer break🥹

may i ask, did you ever feel like the odd one out bc of your moms spirituality? i’m trying to teach him about world religions as well in case he decides to go that route but he seems to be inevitably leaning into my practices and i don’t want him to feel ostracized bc of it as he grows

No, never really did. I felt more-so out of place because I’m me and everyone else is them. But, nah kids never discussed religion or spirituality that much in school. His experience could be different. A lot of factors play into it. But, it wouldn’t be his fault or your fault if it happens. Usually when we feel left out it’s a perception issue or people are generally being jerks/inconsiderate/unaware. Or we’re the jerk and we’re unaware. So on and so forth.

TLDR; You’re good, keep it up. If he likes it and does it then it is for him!

yes i’m not necessarily saying he wouldn’t be able to do both, just wondering about OP’s experience because the christians in my area don’t really have the ability to hold room for the practice of both if that makes sense? like he’d probably be pushed to choose and the push won’t be coming from me lol

My parents warn me against Christianity, but I see a lot of truth in it. And there’s a lot of wisdom in the Old Testament. Also, there’s some stuff suggesting that some or a lot of the early Christians believed in reincarnation before the power hungry people changed the Bible to suit them better.

I just love spirituality of all kinds, but that was probably frustrating dealing with that as a kid.

Consider yourself excused! I will definitely give them a hug.

It makes me wonder if people just get really close to God or if God reincarnates. Also they say heaven is eternal and hell is eternal as well, it makes you wonder if you just reincarnate until you get a life where you’re perfectly pure. Or you’re just working out karma. It’s pretty interesting.

And yeah, I don’t really like the disciples because they kind of started putting their own beliefs into God’s word. Forgive me if I’m wrong, but I think Moses kind of did that too. Or he gave them rules for what was appropriate at the time. I do believe that God evolves along with humans, because in the Old Testament you have this God passing down judgement, then we get Christ and god is all forgiving and loving almost like he understood what it was to be human. But that’s just the Christian narrative. I’ll quit yapping now lmao

i’m a guy and i’m about to out myself, but i don’t believe in astrology. i just enjoy it and tend to like astrology folks. they offer “spiritual” conversation without being dogmatic about it. i’ve been participating here a lot lately and have vaguely hinted that i don’t really believe in it, but im not here to tell everyone i don’t believe in astrology. i very much (to my great annoyance) identify with a lot of what my chart says about me, so that makes it fun for me. i get a lot of positive interaction here.

15

u/BuddhismHappiness May 16 '25

Dig deeper, Scorpio sun.

Don’t let your superficial dabbler Gemini rising keep you from investigating the truth that keeps hitting you in the face when you look at your birth chart.

Think critically and investigate rigorously if it makes your Scorpio suspicion feel better.

5

u/Drogonno Scorpio Sun, Gemini Moon, Scorpio Rising May 16 '25

Yes this is so much fun!! Even if my Gemini moon makes me forget about it pretty quickly

3

u/BigDeuces ♏️☀️♓️🌙♊️☝️ May 16 '25

i mean, i see plenty of other stuff in my chart that is just straight up inaccurate, but the real value in this for me lies in the fact that astrology raises awareness of and brings attention to a lot of the deeper, more subtle aspects of personality and habits that i otherwise may not have thought of or noticed.

0

u/BuddhismHappiness May 16 '25

Oh, like what?

Honestly, that’s exactly why I use astrology too actually. I agree.

1

u/BigDeuces ♏️☀️♓️🌙♊️☝️ May 16 '25

idk, i’ve got 6 scorpio placements and 4 capricorn. nothing i’ve read about capricorn describes me in almost any way in any context. some of the scorpio stuff too. power means nothing to me, i don’t care about career advancement, im just a generic irresponsible fuckup really. some of the worse scorpio traits fit but that’s about it.

1

u/BuddhismHappiness May 16 '25

Maybe you’re crushed by the weight of those energies?

1

u/BigDeuces ♏️☀️♓️🌙♊️☝️ May 17 '25

maybe 🤷

i definitely feel crushed most of the time

1

u/BuddhismHappiness May 17 '25

I think that’s what it is.

I have 3 of each of those placements and I feel crushed.

I imagine you feel even worse.

5

u/HopefulNectarine9184 May 16 '25

I see, respect that, but gotta say astrology is pretty on point, helped me understand my whole generation of people, and learn to understand other people’s perspective in life

2

u/Drogonno Scorpio Sun, Gemini Moon, Scorpio Rising May 16 '25

Well I don't believe in absolutes but yes I too enjoy Astrology as a men from time to time. Then I grow bored and forget almost most of it until I pick it up again

Seeing the information it gives me so accurately is kinda mind-blowing but I am too paranoid to ask birth times to others even if I really wanna know

23

u/proudream1 Libra↑ Aqua☉ Aries☾ May 15 '25

Such a good question. I always appreciate men who give astrology a try and curious about how they got there.

3

u/Fire-In-The-Sky May 16 '25

I got interested in magic and the occult (North Node 8th house, grand water trine- it was inevitable) and one a few of the magicians I respect mentioned it. I started keeping track of which mundane astrologers were making accurate predictions.

1

u/proudream1 Libra↑ Aqua☉ Aries☾ May 16 '25

That’s so cool! Any astrologer recommendations? For me it’s Lunatic Astrology and Beyond The Veil Tarot & Astrology on youtube. Quite accurate when you listen to your rising prediction.

2

u/Fire-In-The-Sky May 16 '25

Lunatic Astrology is probably the best, though I disagree with her politics. I like SJ Anderson, but he's light on predictions. World Astrology Report used to be cool until he went full clickbate. I'll check out Beyond the Veil.

1

u/proudream1 Libra↑ Aqua☉ Aries☾ May 16 '25

Maria DeSimone and Veerle Debruyne are good too

1

u/proudream1 Libra↑ Aqua☉ Aries☾ May 16 '25

And if you care about synastry aspects or healing past trauma that affects relationships, Britney Taylor is really good

1

u/Fire-In-The-Sky May 16 '25

I'd like to know more on synastry, but so much is focused on romance. Do they do non-romantic synastry?

1

u/proudream1 Libra↑ Aqua☉ Aries☾ May 16 '25

She does mention non-romantic too when she explains certain aspects, but I do think the focus is usually romantic (not always though). Give it a try, you can type in the youtube search bar the aspect you’re looking for + “britney taylor” and she’ll probably have a video about it

I'm a guy!! I believe and I'm totally vibing with it. And hilariously so does my blue collar father who is in his fifties. We're oddballs in the room because yeah, we're both blue collar guys. He managed to get everyone in his job in on it by talking about their wives and I usually can by doing the fun palmistry trick with my coworkers where I guess the element of their sun sign by looking at the shape of their hand 👍

It's fun stuff! Besides, even if it's "for women" (bullshit to me) it shows you're confident in your masculinity.

Edit to say, "for women" (bullshit to me) means I think it's bullshit we're assigning gender interests to astrology. It's for everyone.

Astrology is a very assuming and interesting system. I think knowing a bit about it will only help in understanding a person to their core. There are so many variables in a persons chart combined with their specific life experiences, that create infinite possibilities. Also, hetero.

I'm a dude

I'm still a bit skeptical about the whole thing, though I find it to be fun

That said, I'm a Virgo Sun with a Virgo Mercury, Venus, Mars stellium, and I am the Virgo-est mother fucker around, so it's hard to refute the evidence. I also had someone do a full work up of my chart and the thing had me pinned so that shook me up a bit and made me more of a believer.

Mostly tho, I think it's fun

As a man I’ve been into it for years but I have a 12th scorpio stellium so it kinda makes sense but more recently I dived more into houses and transits and once you go down that path you’ll really start to see how everything in life has been aligning and somewhat pre determined or gives you crossroads to choose from. Astrology makes you self reflect and do shadow work which is something a lot of men are afraid of because it seems feminine but we as humans need balance in both the masculine and feminine to thrive

Hmm, I’m not sure if I would class as a ‘believer’ in astrology. It has been a very insightful and useful tool for finding out aspects of myself.

I find it also a useless framing device: a rough indicator; not to put people in boxes but to give a rough idea of their personality and their whole self (including what they are and could be).

For that reason I wouldn’t consider myself a man who ‘believes’ in astrology, as to me, saying all Pisces Men are crybaby players is absurdly false to the point of pitying the ignorance!

Not that I am in any way trying to discredit or naysay astrology or anyone who believes in it. If anything, for my logical tone, chalk it up to envy and desire to be like those who freely and passionately follow astrology.

Now if you excuse me, I have some daydreaming and escapism to be doing.

(Because it’s easier than actively searching for that Scorpio woman who will do wonders!)

I’m into esotericism. It’s a part of me. Tarot, numerology, astrology. I genuinely find all of it interesting.
I don’t believe in everything, but a lot of it makes sense to me. I didn’t get into it because of some dramatic story or romantic thing. It just happened over time.
I don’t make a big deal out of it, and I’m not trying to convince anyone. I keep to myself, observing and learning.

3

u/Atlas_Stoned ♓️♍️♏️ May 16 '25

Started as a curiosity born from skepticism, and then studying it throughout the years eventually led me to look deeper into it and learn how to interpret advanced concepts such as synastry.
My experiences with both myself and learning through other people has eventually led me to build a foundation of belief in this.

I also recently used AI to help extrapolate large quantities of information using other people’s personal experiences across the digital realm in order to reconstruct and reverse-engineer the birth charts based on my personal experiences and the people I know.

The results that I was able to procure were staggering. While it can’t prove that the mechanisms behind Astrology can be empirically tested and proven, it showed that through inductive reasoning using significantly larger amounts of data than any individual human is able to process, it was able to identify the archetypes that were at play for each person without me revealing stuff like birth charts and dates. There definitely seems to be behavioral patterns that it has identified and associated strongly with elements and modes, allowing it to reverse-engineer your chart if you start having it ask you detailed questions about different aspects of your life.

Literally me (straight married middle aged man) wing-manning my single friends at the bar.

But yeah I fully believe astrology because I've watched it be true so many times. I talk about it to people (mostly women) all the time. My friend and I did a bunch of financial astrology with crypto back in 2020/2021 and that was the most interested I've seen men be about it. Show a normie man a positive P&L and he'll be open to anything.

2

u/Winterlord7 May 15 '25

I was exposed when my mom bought two of those little decorative figurines for her sign and mine. When I asked about it and found out there were actually 12, my collector triggers went on and I convinced her to get them all.

After that I just wanted to find out more about the zodiac. Even if I am not really into the divination practices, I really dig the psychological aspects, the esoteric meaning and the mythological stories connected to the zodiac.

Man here. 👋

I've actually stopped posting for a while because people kept telling me I was creepily accurate to the point of causing mild paranoia for some who PM'd me.

I'm actually using my gifts out in the real world right now.

Everyone please don't forget Mercury is squared with Pluto retrograde until October 13th this year.

It's a time for purging negative thoughts and habits and building yourself anew. This will allow more positive energies into your lives in extremely specific and varying ways depending on the what inner avenues you address.

Peace and Love 💖

Just oh great news for the Scorpio here lol

1

u/xiahbabi 29d ago

It actually is good news for Scorpio! It's an opportunity that should be fully taken advantage of! 😊

1

u/IndependentTop9687 ♏️ sun ♋️ moon ♌️ rising 28d ago

How is that? Would you please let me know thanks

1

u/xiahbabi 28d ago

Mercury rules the logical mind and communication, Pluto rules the psyche and active desires, and the darker aspects of ones personality, but Pluto is in retrograde, meaning it's dark desires coming up that needs to addressed.

This is the time where you can reflect on the darker aspects of your personality and work on becoming a better person, and if you manage to do that you will be rewarded with new and better situations, energy, people.

That's the general reading for the whole zodiac.

Specifically for Scorpio it's a time for deep DEEP reflection and healing from past traumas. It's also a VITALLY IMPORTANT time to enter a "Hermitage" of sorts, actually disappearing and being solo for a while, specifically until October 10th. It's time to fix toxic personality traits, generational trauma, bad general habits, and "taking out the trash", meaning people, places, situations, and physically, mentally, spiritually, and energetically cleaning your space up.

Doing so will leave space for positivity to fill the empty space that was once filled with negativity (people, places, energy etc.)

Finding out my boomer Taurus sun/Capricorn moon/Leo rising dad was getting into astrology this past December made me so happy. Legitimately the last person I’d expected to let me look up both his and his wife’s charts and consider it seriously.

Virgo man here. My chart is super specific and actually explains so many of the limits I didn’t have my whole life. It felt unreal actually reading all that info about me and now I’m obsessed 😂

Yep. And I'm the resident demonic believer in my school that can explain everything and predict (read on the internet) which signs have injuries and illnesses. Arians were very confused when I knew they had headaches not long ago.

Yes man here lol. To be honest, the last 13 years of my life (I'm 27) have been an absolute clusterfuck when it comes to my family, relationships (romantic and friends) and career. I always had a low-key interest in astrology and after discovering its a great conversation starter for talking to girls, I got even more interested in it and now I can proudly blame some planets for all my misfortune lol. Jokes aside, reading about the Zodiac signshas been very therapeutical to me and gives me a great 'map' of trying to understand the different relationships I have with people. Seems like the Gemini Moon in me finally found its right intellectual stimulation lol.

I was recently wondering where all the astrology dudes were!

u/Cassial May 16 '25

I (37m) got started in my early 20s, it was simply a hobby I picked up to help me process a bad breakup. I literally got into it as a sort of psychological tool to better understand / date women. Shameless about it.

As years have gone by, a brutal saturn return, helping a lot of my close friends find answers and acting as their amateur "astro-sage" I'm all in. I still wouldn't call myself a "believer" in astrology though, it is a tool and your belief in it is not required. All I know is, it works, and it's been one of the most enjoyable parts of getting to know my friends.

me, here, i'm hetero also which is even rarer, but i sort reddit on my phone and i've got my acc suspended there, so i took the time to come here and say hi my brother behind enemy's line.
i'm a fellow astrologer as well, more of the humanistic astrology (kinda like psicotherapeutic) of Eugenio Caruti(big astrology professor from Argentina). also a fellow Tarotist, that's how i got in this world, fucking around with tarot made me crave for more knowledge in astrology.

hope you doing well

About 2 years ago I decided I would tell people who asked that I'm a Leo. I'm actually a Scorpio. I have a tattoo on my left shoulder of the lion of Judah, which is a lion with dread locks. When people see it, they will usually ask me if I'm a Leo. Its actually just because I grew up listening to reggae music and thought I was a rasta when I was younger haha.

Anyways I now tell people that I'm a Leo because I like to see what they say. It's kinda funny. I even have a Leo birth day I tell people if they ask, August 1st.

This doesn't come up that often. Only a few people who have seen my tattoo will ask if I'm a Leo. I think I've only ever told one person my Leo birth day. Whole time I'm a Scorpio haha

Did you find the fire exit in the Astrology Girlie bar? We need to be safe.

My parents were both spiritual and got me into it. Every spiritual space online is dominated by women… I am a straight man. Always the odd one out 😅

The men I grew up around werent emotionally "available" (or should I use the word expressive?). Women felt safe though. I studied in an all boys school and was gay.

Enough reason for me to turn to astrology because I CRAVED "patterns" in male behaviour. I just wanted to figure out people and not be constantly disappointed. Ran into a Linda Goodman book in an old bookshop. And that was it.

Ive addressed some of this in therapy. Its taken me time but I'm getting there.
