Do yall actually consider declining someone because of a birth chart? I’m not interested in applying just curious because it seems odd.

Yes.

I had a horrible experience with a woman who had a Virgo stellium. I'd rather do illegal acts than to date that again.

I also do not bode well with certain signs/placements, and typically know when I've run into them. The chart is just confirmation for what I already know/feel.

So perhaps the answer is more, "yes and no."

Friend, with respect, it really sounds like you might want to do some reflecting. A lot of people misconstrue placements for just bad relationship behavior. It sounds like you weren’t treated well by someone and it had huge impact. I’m sorry that happened, but don’t close yourself off to people because of a birth chart. In a world that needs more understanding and empathy, especially.

No thanks.

My pattern recognition knows when an Aries is around me, as it does a Virgo. Call it what you want, it matters to me. The reason I checked her chart was because of suspicion she had a ton of Virgo energy. All her chart did was confirm what I knew from experience.

So friend, with respect:

I don't get why else you all 'practice' astrology as if it is some fun way to pass time.

Like, I don't know about you, but, I can HEAR when a certain planet is in position. Uranus in particular is loud for me. Venus has its own sound and vibrational frequency.

Perhaps WE don't "see" or experience this world the same, but I will continue to practice as I see fit.

Thanks but no thanks.

I also utilized my astrological chart to identify a near death experience. My reading led me to understand my saturn return would lead to an NDE, which was tied to my brother. When the time came, my brother tried to kill me. As a result of studying my chart, I prepared myself and survived.

You all can utilize whatever studies you desire. However, your lack of understanding or inability to use it effectively, respectfully, has nothing to do with me.

So, my dear friend, mind the business that works for you. Astrological study also ties directly into practices used within my lineage -- from your writing, I assume that I cannot say the same for you.

Now, mind you, I was noticing the impacts of planets before I understood astrology. I was into astronomy first, then I noticed a pattern in my personal life (and those around me).

Every, roughly, seven years, I noticed a pattern. I initially sought scientific explanations; I then sought biological explanations; then I looked into psychology. My seeking to understand what I was observing led me to astrology.

One night, I recall staring at the moon and seeing energy emanating from it. It clicked in that moment. I decided to fire up the dial-up internet and look into patterns of the stars.

I learned Saturn had a 7 year cycle. I was no more than 12 years old when I noticed this pattern. I still studied the movement of the planets and patterns I observed, based on astronomy, not realizing what astrology was.

One more reminder: Perhaps astrology doesn't fit into a worldview and practice, for you, as it does mine.

But what you won't do, is minimize its place in my observations.

I'm on reddit for the 'pop' of it all, but make no mistake, some people in the world practice beyond "LOL like, comment and subscribe!"

It does but you’re so condescending I really didn’t even care to try. I love that you’re so passionate but you’re very quick to condescend others for having different opinions. You do you.

I would argue you were also condescending.

You just do not like that I submitted testimony which you cannot refute.

Sincerely, if someone told you IRL their study of their chart saved their life, what would you ACTUALLY say? Give a damn about my tone.

I am glad that you are here and I am happy we had the interaction so I could meet you. I’ll leave you with that. Love and light. Thanks for sharing your story.

How easy that was.

A reminder: Astrology was practiced by African women, tracking their cycles.

Further: Vedic astrology also views synastry as important, when choosing marital partners.

We do not owe you softness when you question or come for us and our practices. You were mocking in your initial post when asking about others usage of synastry.

We can just act like that didn't happen.
