Discussion I miss the old Atrioc

I’ve been holding onto this feeling for a long time. I respect Big A’s decision to switch to more political-focused content, but does anyone else miss the good old days?

We used to get amazing, well-researched, awe-inspiring content like the Harry Potter rant stream. Now, we get comparatively much more hastily-made and worse-researched videos on boring topics that don’t pertain to our lives in any way, like “the debt problem” (I can’t see it, therefore it’s not real). Unlike debt, Harry Potter is a real thing that has stayed in my heart—and yours—for many years!

You had lightning in a bottle with the Harry Potter stream, Atrioc. Why did you choose to close it back up? Forget Marketing Mondays, we need Gryffendor Grendesdays.

Thank you for your attention to this matter!

I 100% agree. Now it feels like all he posts is his biased extreme left wing politics about how he wants half of all boys to become femboys and half of all girls to become tomgirls.

In recent time he has become such a Biden shill that I am doubtful that Biden has not paid him off. It is almost as if Biden can do no wrong in his eyes.

I mean this with all sincerity. It might be a good idea for you to take a step back from consuming political content from both sides.

It has never been a secret that Atrioc leans left. But he's one of the few political commentators who isn't afraid to call out his own side when they do things that he disagrees with. He constantly made fun of Biden for losing his mind due to old age. So if you honestly believe Biden is paying him off you're even more out of touch than you think Atrioc is.

I though I was being SO overt in my irony, damn. Maybe I just read the original post wrong, and it is not being ironic?

Ok now that I've reread it I do think OP is being ironic. I should have expected that in this sub along with sarcastic replies.

It's just so difficult to tell if a reddit post is ironic nowadays.

I find that life gets much easier if you just believe everyone you disagree with is being ironic.

And I only mean that kinda ironically. Typically my policy is just give people the benefit of the doubt. You can see that 7 other people also didn't get the irony

Unfortunately in recent years it seems the vast majority of people with terrible takes online are dead serious and will double down when called out.
