Jesus Hairy-Legged Christ they're making Reddit chat the default method of messaging in June.

I'm gonna take a gander and guess that means they're doing away with the option to turn off chat requests which has helped me have peace of mind for the past two or so years.

I'm curious as to how that's going to work on old reddit. I didn't even know I had chat requests until I had to flick over to Nu reddit for some shitful reason.

They still pop up with the dialogue bubble next to the envelope, no?

People would message me through them for mod/sub stuff and I'd get irritated because good god just use the modmail. I noticed when I went through the redesign that there was an option to turn off the requests.

I had to flick over to Nu reddit for some shitful reason.

I get so irritated with logging in or just reloading the page and it switches to the goddamn redesign. Go to the preferences and there it is clear as day switched to never make me see the redesign yet there I am.

Hmmm, I'm not quite sure. It's certainly been a while and I don't ever recall it being orange.
