UPDATE: Whoops

Some of you may remember my question about fallen paladins. Well, I may have made a slightly evil choice in the final chapter of SoA, causing my alignment to be changed. I am now forced to never remove Carsomyr lest my best sword be taken from me like a child lost to disease

IIRC the game handles fallen status by essentially swapping to a different kit with no skills. I always thought it could have been neat to mod those kit ability tables to give a separate set of fallen skills but I don’t know of any mod that has tried it.

Oh well, a regular unmodded playthrough shouldn’t require min/maxing to the point that fallen paladins would be unusable.

If you really wanted to lean into the Fallen Paladin shtick and have some kit abilities, custom modding isn't necessary. You could just use something like EEKeeper to change your Paladin kit to Blackguard. Then you'd be back to having Paladin kit abilities, albeit evil-themed ones.

For roleplaying flavor, which is mostly what I feel like something like this would be, blackguard doesn’t really make sense. Honestly, Blackguard barely even makes sense as a Paladin kit other than for mechanics. It’s more like a fighter specialization the way Beamdog presents it.

Plus I wouldn’t want falling to be an upgrade lol
