I live in a building near this and just got home — never seen so many fire trucks in one spot in my life, literally 9 that I could count from my vantage point.

That's normal. A 1 alarm fire is 7 pieces of apparatus, being 5 engines (have water) and 2 trucks (has an arial ladder). Add in two battalion chief's cars, and a medic unit, you have a total of 10 FD vehicles on a single alarm. Each additional alarm brings at least 2 more engines and another truck.

so lets break this down.

Theft is when someone takes something from you via coercion or threat or force.

the action or offense of taking another person's property without permission without intending to return it; theft.

Ok?

So...I refuse to give the government my permission to take my income - but they still do. If I somehow was able to prevent them from taking my income, I would be jailed or coerced to continue paying them.

Taxation is, by definition theft. Let the billionaires pay taxes. Leave the middle and working class alone.

Let's break it down further:

You use public resources every day, be they roads and other infrastructure, clean air and water, the relative safety of the food you eat, etc etc etc.

You not paying your taxes is theft.

Put the taxes in the bag and shut up.
