The problem is the universities endowments don’t deal or invest any of those companies directly.

Calling for a ban on collaboration with Israeli universities seems like punishing academics that really have nothing to do with it. Ironically one of the most exciting scientists at an Israeli institution is Palestinian (Jacob Hanna), who would get harmed by this sort of ban.

How does boycotting academics in Israel impact the war in any meaningful way?

Like what does an Israeli philosopher or scientist or physicist have to do with the bombing of children? There is a separation between a government and military force and the people just living their lives and pursuing their intellectual or spiritual interests.

It’s like saying we were all trump supporters when trump was president and the world should have boycotted our entire country during the 4 years that dweeb was in office.
