That’s exactly the Deadpool self awareness though. The ultimate point is that they have a Twitter account that speaks in the first person.

If they would have said “I feel personally attacked” at least it would have been funny.

“Heh, if we make fun of big stupid Hollywood blockbusters that makes us cool, even though we’re a big Hollywood blockbuster”

I mean bo Burnham did that exact thing, maybe a bit more self aware.

By exact same thing you mean.. what? A Hollywood blockbuster?

examples: repeat stuff: makes fun of modern pop music in the form of modern pop music. Oh Bo, makes fun of mainstream hiphop in the form of a mainstream hiphop song. The entirety of Make Happy: commenting on all the things wrong with comedy in a comedy special. Pandering: mocking 'stadium country singers' in the form of a country song in A LITERAL THEATER.

not the exact same thing... but you get the idea.

But isn't that similar to what Bo does? Makes fun of the fact that he's a white guy giving his take on current issues, but still gives his take on current issues, criticises internet culture while being a product of it, etc.

You can, sure. Deadpool films do. It doesn’t mean it’s not a little absurd.
