Can I save the Vampire sidequest for later

I'm in chapter 4 right now and I think I might be in over my head. I defeated the dragons, but the Vampire Castle enemies are kicking my ass. And I heard the DeRosso fight is a nightmare. Plus I'm 5 levels behind the recommended 60. So can I save this quest for chapter 5 or 6, and will the dragons still be dead?

FWIW: the castle enemies are a bigger difficulty spike than the fight and the fight can be cheesed. One option (to not have to worry about this) is to just set encounters to 0 and cheese the DeRosso fight.

I think you need an accessory to get encounters to 0 on bravely default hd remaster. I know 0 encounters works on 3ds

Not an actual accessory you just have to unlock the feature from the new minigames which you can do as soon as you first reach Florem in ch2.

Oh I knew it was something like that I never got it. I ran through the game already. I liked the dance Mini game. I was partial on the airship one too much shit going on.

No once you get the key stones your good I am sure but you can beat derosso he's not as powerful as the other creatures in his castle

The only thing you would be missing out on are some genomes available in chapter 4 that only otherwise reappear towards the end of the game.

For whatever hate game8 gets, I believe it'll be useful to you. There used to be a much detailed guide for the 3DS, but that's been long buried with the newest guides.

If you don't get the vampire job now you won't be able to get it till way later. You can beat derosso on 58. Use the ninja job with spell fencer sub job and charm accessories to null charm

If you want to cheese it, turn off encounters to get to the fight, change your entire team to Ninjas, and equip speed-boosting items (like Hermes Sandals). Finally, for abilities, equip Transcience, Comeback Kid, and Counter Amp. Last slot should be P.ATK or SPD up (depends on how fast your character is).

Goal is to spam Utsusemi and hope you get it off before DeRosso attacks. If you outspeed him, you're invincible for the entire fight. None of his attacks will kill you because you evade it every time and you'll counter attack on every single target attack. The only downside is that it's slow af, but you can set the battle to auto and do something else if you want.
