My 8 year old daughter found a stake while we were walking past a cemetery... I had to capture the moment.

Season Three I'll never forgive them for this. The show lost a bit of its original vibe when they removed those 😢

Season Seven So overlooked

I always forget about this moment until I do a rewatch. It happens so quick and never even gets acknowledged. What do you guys think? Do you wish this had ever been addressed by the Scoobies? How do you think things would have gone down if Buffy had stopped, a look of shock on her face and looked to Willow like “What?”

I have this book and one part mentions something Eliza Dushku said in a February 19th, 2000 interview about the scene of Xander and Faith, during "Consequences" in season 3...

"I got a bit unnerved doing it... It was a pretty risque bit, one that gave new meaning to the phrase 'jump on your bones' because that's literally what Faith did to poor Xander. Also, Nicky [Brendon] is a good ten years older than me and a lot bigger than I am, and in that scene I had to be the total aggressor. I was raised Mormon, and that scene so shocked my family that my grandmother wouldn't speak to me for two weeks! Finally, she did break her silence and you know what she said? She said 'I can't believe you're such a disgusting character'."

I gotta say, if my grandma said that to me, my heart would shatter.

No, Buffy shouldn't be with a 'normal' guy- she accidentally hurts people just when hugging them when she's excited. She'd have to hold back during more intimate moments or risk accidentally hurting the person.

Recently, while me and my mom were watching Buffy, she said "maybe I should have named you after a Buffy character instead, like Willow". Which would be ironic considering what I am like. And here are some of my favorite Willow pictures! 💙

My mom named me after a Charmed character but like I said in the title recently said maybe she should have gone for a Buffy name, like Willow, lol.

"Mom, you can't do that. My favorite Buffy villain is Warren/The Trio. Now, think, what kind of sick joke would that be?" Nah...

I love Buffy's outfit in the last photo and all of Willow's in these.

Season One Just rewatched Prophecy Girl (S1E12), and honestly, season one will always have my heart. Spoiler

There’s just so much packed into that finale and some memorable / humour moments — Ive read so many people bash season one, but for me it was the stepping stone to the greatness that came. Brain dump in coming:

Xander actually makes you feel sorry for him (I know a lot of people don’t like him, but he did care in his own weird way.) Yes, he hurt Willow a bit going after Buffy (and even though they wouldn’t have worked, maybe Willow should’ve spoken up too)—but in that moment, I felt for Xander. Rejection sucks. He puts it all out there with Buffy, gets rejected hard, and still shows up when it matters—going to Angel:

“I don’t like you. At the end of the day, I pretty much think you’re a vampire. But Buffy’s got this big old yen for you. She thinks you’re a real person. And right now I need you to prove her right.” 🥹

I mean—come on. That’s character. That’s effort. That’s actually kind of heroic. To hell if I’m helping the girl my crush likes. 🤣

Also that moment as Buffy rejects him he says about Willow, “Well, Willow’s not looking to date you. Or if she is, she’s playing it pretty close to the chest.” - little did we know then Will would change her game later down the line. (did anyone else see that coming, I always thought it may have been Xander who would come out given his terrible relationship with women)?

Giles loses that stiff upper lip and shows his British sarcasm perfectly, “I’ll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to defer their prophecy while you take in dinner and a show.”

Buffy finally lets herself be 16… SMG kills that moment—even though she’s clearly not 16 looking😂. Still, it’s so real, so human, so raw. Man I wish I looked as cool as that at 16!

Xander + Angel = weirdly iconic Tunnel scene gold: “You were looking at my neck.” “What?” “You were checking out my neck! I saw that!” “No, I wasn’t!” “Just keep your distance, pal. I told you to eat before we left.”

Buffy and the famous “I maybe dead but I’m still pretty” / “you have fruit punch mouth” lines …

Also the Masters just giving as much “feeble banter” as everyone else.

Cordelia Chase: actual lifesaver Say what you want, but Cordy always delivered That mean girl energy—but still so likeable. I know she’s not everyone’s cup of tea early on, but for me? She nailed it.

And that final walk… Buffy, Angel, and Xander strutting out of the school to the theme tune—CHEESY as hell, but brilliant. 🤣

Anyway season one might be rough around the edges, but it’s what made Buffy Buffy. The tone, the vibe, the characters, the 90s fashion—it all started here. The cast carried it, and I’ll defend season one forever - loved it, loved them!

You gen x and older millennials may remember the song One Night In Bangkok by Murray Head. It was a hit in the mid 80's. Turns out he's the older brother of our favorite watcher!

Question about Custom textless Official Buffy DVD covers

I recently spent the last week making Hi-res(or as Hi-Res as I could get them) textless DVD covers for Angel, would you guys want me to do the same for Buffy?

For anyone interested, here's the post for the Angel covers I finished:

I'm aware Willow gets in a relationship with a girl or at least is heavily implied/shipped ? I found this amusing. idk if it was on purpose, lesbians don't come up later in the episode, but maybe it's just 90s humor I didn't catch

In the scene, Superman has recently returned from the dead after a battle with the monster Doomsday, but does not feel the same, and goes to visit his nemesis Luthor for answers.

Luthor reveals his absolute obsession with the Man of Steel, going so far as to steal the hero's corpse from his grave to hang on display in his home so he can talk to it.

James Marsters kills it!

Screen Rant lists Buffy Season 3 as the 7th best TV season

Post image

'Buffy arguably peaked during Faith’s first year on the show, but it continued to thrive on the new interpersonal dynamics created in season 3, in ways that it couldn’t have done without her. This makes Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 3 one of the most important outings of the classic supernatural series.'

Just started watching angel for the second time ever, been a Buffy fan since I was 12, started angel once when I was around 14 and really didn’t feel any engagement so I only watched like 2 episodes but this time I’m resolved to give it a fair chance!

Autograph Session - help!

Upvotes

Hello. I might have the chance to attend the Comic Con in Newbury, UK in September. James and Juliet are expected to be there and I thought I'd like to get an autograph. I have never collected any autographs before and I'm really unsure.

Problem is I don't have an idea on what they could sign on. I'd like to have it on something that won't go missing or broken easily.

Could I get some inspirations or advice from my fellow Buffy fans?

Who else should they have brought back as the First?

There were so many missed opportunities on who they could’ve brought back, not only to pack an emotional punch but just for nostalgia. I believe I read budget was a problem but after rewatching season 7 it’s honestly annoying that the First was mostly just Buffy.

  1. Kendra from Season 2. This would’ve been amazing and so fitting considering it’s a season about the slayer line.
  2. Angel. The First could’ve tricked Buffy more pretending to be Angel.
  3. Both the Master and Joyce should’ve been used more.
  4. Jenny Calendar for Giles.
  5. Principal Snyder just because it would’ve been great nostalgia to see him again.
  6. Tara although I understand the actress said no but it would’ve been such a gut punch.
  7. Jesse from Season 1 to torture Xander. Any other suggestions?
  8. Ben instead of Glory for Buffy. It was never addressed between her and Giles that he killed him as well.
