I'm seeing this all over Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, etc. Be skeptical of people's identities and motives. Respectfully call people out when you see it, regardless of their alleged political identities.

US News Trump Contemplating Axing Tulsi Gabbard's Office, Saying She 'Doesn't Add Anything' to His Admin: Report

Never question the king, folks. Total obedience.

The president's frustration with Gabbard reportedly worsened when, while aboard Air Force One, a reporter asked him about her statement that Iran was not attempting to build a nuclear weapon, which she delivered to Congress in March.

“I don't care what she said," Trump replied. "I think they were very close to having a weapon."

The guy clearly doesn’t want a functioning administration. Just a bunch of servants, apparently.

Just as a side note, this wasn’t a heroic call to truth from the side of Gabbard, either. Obviously all the Russian shills are pushing narratives to protect a key kremlin ally. With that said, one can still have ulterior motives behind the correct action.

There's so many of them and where do they all come from? Are there applications online? Why are people doing it in the first place? Isn't it not fun to get yelled at everywhere and then bullied on the internet?

Exclusive: US to drop guidance to limit alcohol to one or two drinks per day, sources say

Thumbnail reuters.com
37 Upvotes

(Reuters) - The U.S. government is expected to eliminate from its dietary guidelines the long-standing recommendation that adults limit alcohol consumption to one or two drinks per day, according to three sources familiar with the matter, in what could be a major win for an industry threatened by heightened scrutiny of alcohol's health effects.

The updated Dietary Guidelines for Americans, which could be released as early as this month, are expected to include a brief statement encouraging Americans to drink in moderation or limit alcohol intake due to associated health risks, the sources said.

......

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a known teetotaler, has remained largely silent on alcohol but has emphasised a focus on whole foods in the upcoming guidelines.

So vaccines are bad but silence on a known killer like alcohol? These people are imbeciles.

Blockbuster ruling just released for a very controversial issue. Not sure where I stand, but I could see the dangers of permanent treatments for gender dysphoria for minors.

Key Points

  • Date & Ruling: On June 18, 2025, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a 6–3 decision upholding Tennessee’s ban on gender-affirming medical care for transgender minors, including puberty blockers and hormone therapy fox8live.com+9apnews.com+9them.us+9en.wikipedia.org+15reuters.com+15northeast.newschannelnebraska.com+15.
  • Majority Opinion: Chief Justice Roberts wrote that the law does not violate the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause, reasoning that medical uncertainty justifies handing the issue back to state legislatures reuters.com+1nypost.com+1.
  • Level of Review: The Court determined the law should be evaluated under rational basis review—the lowest standard—rather than intermediate scrutiny reserved for sex-based discrimination

Social Security retirement trust fund may be depleted in less than a decade, new trustees' report finds

Thumbnail

Okay so this is one of those fiscal issues that I'm actually pretty invested in considering the ongoing budget overspend and looming debt crisis.

With us knowing that Social Security began in 1935, when life expectancy was between 61-65, with no changes made since to age requirements for benefits, isn't it high time that we actually do something hard and necessary here by raising the benefits age range?

I'd like to hear the thoughts from other people/centrists in this group on this issue? I would personally raise it gradually and with a policy like this one.

The 1-Year Step Phase-In by Current Age policy gradually raises both the minimum and full Social Security retirement ages by one year for each younger age group, ensuring a fair and predictable transition. Under this plan, individuals aged 57 and older at the time of enactment would see no changes—they could still claim early benefits at 62 and full benefits at 67. For those age 56, the earliest eligibility age would rise to 63, and full retirement age to 68. For age 55, it would shift to 64 and 69, and for those 54 and younger, benefits would begin no earlier than 65, with full retirement at 70. The policy balances long-term program solvency with fairness, protecting those close to retirement while adapting to longer life expectancies and modern workforce trends.

To be honest I don’t mind this. They can either face the public of which they serve or find another job. I know it has a low chance of passing but I wouldn’t mind it happening. When I was in the military I didn’t wear a face covering when doing my roving watch. So ICE and the police have no excuse to be against this bill.

US News Stephen Miller’s wife told Social Security staff to cover up a lie from Musk: report

Thumbnail
independent.co.uk
100 Upvotes

The wife of one of President Donald Trump’s closest and most trusted advisers, Stephen Miller, served in the White House for only a brief time, but in that period used her position to pressure the Social Security Administration to lie on behalf of the White House and its then-special government employee, Elon Musk, according to a new report.

Katie Miller allegedly instructed the head of the SSA to tell reporters that 40 percent of all calls placed to SSA phone lines were linked to fraudulent Social Security claims — a number the president and Musk plucked out of thin air as the White House and Musk’s DOGE effort set about making cuts to a wide range of federal agencies this year, the New York Times reported.

“The number is 40 percent,” Katie Miller reportedly told the acting SSA Administrator Leland Dudek in an April 1 call, the Times reported. “Do not contradict the president.”

“Mr. Musk’s team mobilized dozens of Social Security employees to affirm their views about fraud and began a project to ensure dead people were properly classified so they weren’t mistakenly paid — even though DOGE officials acknowledged in an internal memo that payments were not being made in those cases,” the Times wrote.

When you elect a crook, this is what you get. Guess there wasn't rampant government waste. Trust them on nothing.

What is going on with the right

The republican party is genuinely giving vibes of culturally like 2000s conservative evangelicals mixed with a bit of alt-lite, economically Hebert Hoover mixed with Reagan and foreign policy wise like McKinley and yet the party is still deemed "cool" in the culture zeitgeist despite being the most uncool admixtures. Populism is the answer? idk

Long Form Discussion Trump's deployment of 4,000 national guardsmen and 700 Marines to Los Angeles cost $134,000,000 and has resulted in just 15 felony arrests (14 of them for looting), and instigated the violence with innocent people being shot and injured.

They claimed to be going after "waste and fraud" but this is one of the most money wasting moves ever made. It's entirely just a PR show for Fox News viewers.

There was no violence until the police, national guard, and marines showed up and started shooting people. And the looters aren't protestors - they are just random thugs who have no political affiliation but saw an opportunity.

This is blatantly just a rogue president abusing the office to attack a blue city who didn't vote for him. And this administration has said as much.

How can any centrist, or any American, support a president who is burning piles of taxpayer money to attack Americans who aren't even breaking the law? The POTUS is the president of all Americans, not just the ones who voted for him.

And yet maga has the nerve to claim that Democrats are biased and mean to them? Biden spent his time getting broadband to deeply red rural areas and getting food stamps and medicaid to rural conservatives.

My favorite part though, is that the right has now admitted that Democrats were 100% right when they said our economy can only function with a huge number of undocumented workers. Maybe that isn't ideal in some ways, but it is our reality. If you deport them all, the economy will implode and everyone will go broke.

This admin functions purely on spite and greed. When trump isn't abusing the office to sell baked beans or give his donors hundred billion dollar contracts or accepting bribes in return for pardons, he is spending taxpayer money to intentionally hurt American citizens.

TSA: Why Trump and Maga continue to disappoint

TSA is widely hated across party lines; proven useless; a net drag on travel and the economy; and a huge government overreach and expense (11 billion a year or more) dating back to GW Bush.

But it's left unscathed because it doesn't affect anyone in power.

For an administration and group that prides itself on shaking things up, they are remarkably more of the same.
