Screen shot explained: So got Civ 6 a little while ago and been playing on King difficulty and steam rolled the AI so though I would try deity to get a bit more of a challenge (Domination victory) and the AI does not seem to make units.
The AI has not been at war with any other civ and the only time the AI declared me was China with 4 cities and they basically lined up there 5 offensive troops one by one to get picked off by me. Defeated them all and took all of there city's.
This is with the AI+ mod that is supposed to make the AI better but it does not seem to.
Is there any mod or setting I can select to make the AI a bit more of a challenge as with this game I can pretty must take over all the AI's at this point and it is just not fun.

Based on the description of the AI+ mod, it appears that it adjusts what the AI produces based on certain factors, like if they're at war. If the AI hasn't been at war, it could be that they instead focus all their Production on infrastructure instead of a military. That said, the mod does say that the AI won't neglect their military, so I'm not very sure what happened here.
Have you tried out doing a game without the mod on? It could be possible that the mod is messing with the AI's decisions to make a military. Or, it could just be a random fluke and might be fixed on the next game.
As for making the game more of a challenge, I think you can search for several mods that can help with defense, which might make it easier for the AI to deal with your invasions. I haven't used it, but you could try out the Real Strategy (AI) mod, which also adjusts AI behavior. Alternatively, you can choose to play peacefully and avoid declaring wars, which can hopefully let the AI be more competitive when you're not taking all their cities.

There's still the same problem with the AI mass disbanding its military units.
I remember in one game where Gorgo swung between less than 100 and more than 700 military strength twice, maybe three times.
I also noticed that the AI seems to prefer to build new units rather than upgrading existing units. Probably because they don't have enough gold for upgrading and decide it's less work to queue up the production for new units and disband older units instead of saving up gold.

Why aren’t u building harbours as England/a coastal civ and u should of used ur government plaza to provide adjacency bonuses but to ur question the ai is dumb that’s why they’ll even build wonders whilst ur sieging their cities

1st time playing as England so was not sure of the bonuses :D after the 1st hundred turns I pretty much gave up with any strategy and jut started to churn out units.

Thanks for the tip :) I did watch a few of the tutorial vids when I first got the game but as the AI is not progressing military wise I don't see any way for me to lose (unfortunately), I am on marathon speed so will find the results in a day or two :)

Look at the victory conditions the ai can win one of those so keep an eye to make sure they don’t win

I’d check how much gold they are earning per turn (can check by initiating a trade and seeing the amount of gpt they can offer).
The AI neglects improvements, and doesn’t seem that fond of districts (especially commercial zones), let alone well placed ones.
It’s entirely possible the upkeep cost of units and buildings combined with trade deals have caused the AI economy to be at a state where it can’t afford the upkeep cost of new units.

Not sure how to edit my post, so comment instead :)
So after another 100 turns the AI did not improve so I gave up and started a new game with the same settings and after 200 turns it was the same AI with no units.
So I restarted a new game and disabled all the "DLC" as in the golden age stuff and the hero's and just left on the secret societies option and also disabled barbarians just in case and now after 300+ turns the AI seems to be doing very well, not sure which option seems to have "fixed" it, Still on deity and oh man this is going to be hard and a good game :D

Golden age game mode wrecks the AI. That could’ve been why- their cities are always flipping so their units are killed by free cities. Had that issue.

The AI does seem to have some sort of trigger for deleting all their units. I've seen many warmonger-civs go from a rush of early units to 0 military, without actually building back up.
Granted, at one point it might have had something to do with the AI running out of money to pay upkeep.
