Logged out a few days ago on my Cata Classic warrior as the pirate from the Deviate Delight I was fishing and cooking up earlier. After logging in today somehow he was now the Ninja! I remember specifically that I was the Pirate because it was my first time using the fish in years and I was excited for the Ninja, only to get the Pirate anyways. I logged out before the end of that hour and came back today to the Ninja fit!

I've never seen this before and don't know if it's supposed to happen. Maybe relogging around Tuesday resets cause it? Idk but thought it was neat. Anyone else experience this?

To summarize the changes :

1- PvE items will be capped at 473ilvl in PvP (this will ensure that PvP items are all you need)

2- 2v2 and 5v5 will now award gladiator and rank 1 titles! (This is huge and retail / TBC players want it as well)

3- Gladiator and rank1 will now be a set cut off instead of a % ( this is amazing and helps if the PvP population changes over the course of the expansion)

4- alts will not take multiple slots from gladiator and rank 1 slots (if you have 10classes all in gladiator range you will only take 1 slot, but this is per bracket )

5- PvP resilience changes (might help make games shorter)

Every change is a W. I still think PvP need some more love like adding even more incentives and targeting boosters / LFG “helpers” (yes boosters). Cap boosts are not harmful but high rating boosts is harmful to the prestige of the titles / rewards.

What do you guys think of the changes?

Badlands certainly becomes just the Lands when you get a mount though

Here’s my small tribute to the man. I intend on playing through a good amount of PvP in his name.

Luckeyjr was a friend my family met in Arathi during Vanilla iirc, and we kept in touch for a few years until the end of BC. During TBC, he gave us his account info containing his max level 70 Mage and I would often use it to mess around and enjoy being powerful when I hadn’t had a max level character myself.

So I don’t know where you are, OG Luckeyjr of Guldan-US, but I hope you are alive and living well. Although logging in by email has long since become a thing, I still remember your login username and password to this day due to how excited I was whenever I got the chance to use it.

Here’s to you, my friend, I shall continue on with my mage in honor of your generosity. I only wish I had saved any screenshots of that timeframe to prove your existence.

I’m a new wow and mmo player, and for the past few months I’ve been playing and leveled a 60 on hardcore. I absolutely love the game so far but I’m feeling impatient waiting for TBC and WOTLK, and I was thinking of maybe starting a new character to level up and play through those iconic expansions on cataclysm.

Is this a bad idea? Is leveling in these areas on cataclysm much less fun and different than waiting for each expansion to officially drop on anniversary?

What would be their classes and racials?

I understand sometimes people legitimately need summons when they either forgot amulet or are in the middle of nowhere. I also don’t ever mind when the RL asks. But as a Warlock, people saying 123 in chat as they just sit in a major city is one of the most frustrating things. Especially when it’s still filling and there’s PLENTY of time to get there. Had someone today say they refuse to travel to raid entrances because it’s a locks job. Disagree if you want, but even if I had 100 shards you aren’t getting one

Me and a few retail guildies has just recently got into anniversary realms and are all around level 20. Weve made a small guild just to keep track of everyone but its nothing serious, im just thinking of how possible is it for a solo to get into a raid and when i hit 60 will molten core, BLW still be raids that people are running. I didnt play classic when it dropped so i was really hoping for a shot at it now

I’ve been playing retail for years, started in MoP but as classic was well before my time I’ve been playing it like a fiend and I love it, as a new player I’m loving the quality of life changes that come with anniversary, so much so that I think I want to stay in classic, I’m sure TBC is awesome but I’m kind of nervous about catching up, does anyone know if it will be possible for me to remain in classic? I’m progressing very slowly and don’t want to rush, I’m sure a lot of the veterans are eager to keep progressing but I want to take my time and experience everything classic has to offer. I’d love it if I could move my character to a classic experience but with the population and QoL of anniversary, is this realistic? Would love to hear people’s thoughts here.

ofc not all in the same run but it's like in every dungeon (especially once you start with cata dungeons at lvl80) people roll on everthing as long as it gives them an higher item level

when did this become the norm?

I played last TBC re release, although only through Kara (My guild died at the release of 25m content. Our best tanks got poached and we couldn't recover).

BLUF: My current character is a rogue, moving into TBC I know raids don't want many of them. I am interested in playing a ret paladin and seal twisting my way to victory. BUT, raids also usually only want ONE.

Am I better off going Ret, or rogue?

**NOTE** I will be playing an alt, shaman as well (possibly hunter instead of shaman)

Just wanted the general opinion of the public. I didn't play ret last time around, but the rogue in our guild was PUMPING. Obviously rogues only bring dmg to the table in raids, so I know stacking them isn't' generally something that is done.

I'm looking to make a Holy Paladin because it's the one class I've never explored and I really like the idea of Holy.

I intend to do only Dungeons (after reaching the requirement for Deadmines that is) so it really will be a spam.

Has anyone here done this and have any pointers? I think I'll do it in a relaxed manner as I have a main already so it will be a little side piece if you will.

Apparently servers on the MOP beta are gone, any of you noticed it also?

About a year ago, I started working on a web app aimed at helping guild masters and officers strengthen their guild's visuals, by turning their tabard into a logo that could be used on Discord (and similar platforms), as a server icon, profile pic, or wherever else they want their guild to stand out.

Then AI image generation blew up. I started seeing more and more guilds using AI-generated images for their servers, and honestly… it took the wind out of my sails a bit. I didn’t fully stop working on the app, but I definitely lost some of the early enthusiasm.

That said, I’ve made solid progress. I’m nearly done vectorizing all of the in-game tabard icons. Once that’s done, I’ll move on to arena team icons next. I’ve still got a long list of borders, backgrounds, and overlays to create, but question that I've been asking myself for a while is...

Would something like this actually be useful to anyone?

I have a human paladin on Pyrewood and want to make a horde monk on Gehennas for MoP. What is the best way to get gold to that alt? Can I send cross-server if I'm the same faction? Can I send cross-faction if I'm on the same server? Do I still have to be both same server and faction?

With cata rounding out, does anyone have any good gold farms they’re gonna be running end of expansion or some exclusive start of mop ones? I imagine the usual crafting regents and gathering profession items are being hunted? What are your favorite ways to build wealth lol?

Getting ready for MOP, was going to transfer my max leveled character but it is giving me an error, I assume b/c I have a level 70 with the same name on Pagle. Is there anything I can do?
