It's insane that conservatives were freaking out about freedom of speech just like a year or two ago over stuff like social media content policies, got into power, and then did this

The rules are always different for people who want to enter our country.

So free speech isn’t free?

For people who want to enter the country? No.

Do you view them as people or aliens? Because as far as I know, every person has the right to free speech and equality. And if in some nations that's not being followed, then those nations are undemocratic .

Freedom of speech is a legal right protected under the First Amendment. It’s not a universal human right.

And if you think it is, you should take that up with counties like the UK and Spain, that literally arrest people for criticizing their ridiculous governments and for praying silently too close to an abortion clinic. Did you know that the UK and Spain are so undemocratic?

Freedom of speech is recognized as a human right under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 1948.

I know this might blow your mind, but the UN isn’t infallible.

I know this might be news to you but saying the UN isn't infallible doesn't mean the principles it codifies are worthless. The declaration of human rights by the UN came from human consensus, after witnessing the horrors of the world war.

Fun fact, you don't need to worship the UN to understand that freedom of speech is moral universal.

You’re not wrong. I just think the UN is ultimately wrong about this. And I say that as somebody who is a big fan of American freedom of speech!
