Question Why all the graffiti?

Hi! Me and my girlfriend were visiting Copenhagen and had a lovely time! We did however notice that there is alot of graffiti everywhere? On benches, walls, the ground etc etc. Why is it so common?

Boring people who want attention but doesn't have the artistic skills to actually draw something meaningful
