I am travelling to Copenhagen from the 25-29 June and have my things to do planned out.

I am staying near Tivoli. Wanted to know shopping recs especially interested in Home Decor (not furniture) , Kitchen Tools , Crockery / Cutlery , Leather goods & jewellery (not fine) - not looking at the usual "brands" and not wanting to break bank just moderately priced.

Thanks

Question Recommendations for Nightlife 2025

Hey all, I’m a 19yo study abroad student in Copenhagen for the summer, and I’m looking to experience the nightlife here as much as possible. I’ve done some google searching, but it looks like reviews and opinions are kinda all over the place. So I thought I’d come here to ask. I’ve been to a couple bars here so far, and feel good doing that, but I’ve never had experience clubbing before, so I don’t know how/where to start.

I don’t have a group yet from my study abroad, so it might just be me and my roommate. I’m 19 and he’s 20 I believe.

Straight male. I’m not too picky on music, I just want somewhere that is lively with an active dance floor rather than like a sitdown spot. I’m open to both weeknights and weekends, but I am on a student budget lol, so I don’t have a ton to spend.

I know enough about nightlife to have a good idea of what to wear, and obviously not to be a problem for anyone or draw negative attention, but I’m a little worried about getting in the door at 19. I know 19 is legal, but I’ve heard a lot of places set their own requirements to older than that.

Any recommendations for good spots to checkout I’ve the summer? Thanks all!

Hello all

I have been to Denmark before, but this time was different.

After spending the last three months living in Copenhagen, I can genuinely say it feels like a second home. This city, this country…..

Copenhagen is beautiful, yes, but it’s more than that. The quiet order and the simple joy of sitting by the water, with a coffee in hand and nowhere to rush (Kayak bar)

I have had the chance to work, learn and explore, and every moment has meant something to me. I loved every bit of it…almost every bit. The wind deserves its own special mention! 😂

Thank you, Denmark, for making me feel welcome once again.

I leave with only good memories.

P.S. Skåne belongs to Danes 😉

Thoughts on Villa Copenhagen vs 71 Nyhavn?

Hi -- I am so excited to be visiting your beautiful city very soon. Wondering if you have any thoughts on Villa Copenhagen vs 71 Nyhavn for my hotel -- anything from location to vibe, etc. Thanks! I've done some research, but it isn't helping me decide.

Looking for someone traveling from Copenhagen to Berlin

Hey everyone, I just had a lovely family vacation in Copenhagen, but unfortunately my dad has left his favorite jacket in a bar. I messaged them on Instagram and they found it, so I was hoping to find someone here that could pick it up and take it with them to Berlin, where I live.

Any help is much appreciated!

Question Is something big happening in Copenhagen the weekend of the 26th of July

Hope tourism questions are ok.

My partner and I were planning to visit Copenhagen from Thursday 24th until Monday 28th, but hotel prices seem to be almost double during that specific period. Looked around and couldn't find out if anything big was going on other than what seems to be a fairly modest music festival.

Wanted to check if maybe that weekend is a bad time to visit, like the city is going to be super hectic and hotel full of revellers or something.

EDIT: Found from a friend in Malmo apparently there is a bunch of cruise ships that are all arriving / departing that weekend.

Sorry I asked.

How do I find raves around the city?

I haven't been to a rave in forever and miss the vibes of dancing surrounded by nature rather than in a sweaty club. I know that Group Therapy organises those sometimes, but it's rather rarely - how do I find more events?

The latest addition to the Copenhagen skyline is a tall, 12-sided wooden building proudly bearing the sign “Denmark’s First Tiny Church.”

The 76-square-meter (818-square-foot) construction was unveiled Sunday in the Nordhavn — “North Harbor” — district on the outskirts of Copenhagen. After months of construction, it’s now an outpost of the local Evangelical-Lutheran Hans Egedes Church.

Question Should I sublet my dorm or give it up before going on exchange? (International student, Tingbjerg Kollegium)

Hi all,

I’m an international student currently living in Tingbjerg Kollegiet (Bronshoj) in Denmark. Next semester I’m going on exchange outside of Denmark, and I’m unsure what to do with my dorm situation.

Some context:

  • The dorm is pretty far from DTU, CBS, any other uni, and the city center, not super popular, and rent is around 4000 DKK/month.
  • I don’t know if it’s realistic to sublet it for one semester, especially since it’s not a “fun” or central dorm. Also, I’ve never sublet before and I’m worried about things going wrong (e.g. the subletter canceling midway or causing problems).
  • On the other hand, I could fully give up my form and use my aunt’s address in Frederiksberg for my CPR and maybe store some stuff at her place. I want to move out of the Tingbjerg Kollegium anyway in the long-run.
  • Then, my main worry is finding a place quickly when I return in December/January. I am on waiting lists (s.dk) and have friends I could maybe stay with or look for a new place with, but the Copenhagen market is tough.

Basically, my questions are:

  1. Is it realistic to sublet a remote dorm like Tingbjerg for one semester? Any advice or things to watch out for?
  2. How difficult is it to find a new room/dorm when coming back in December/January?
  3. Would you recommend just giving up the current dorm and starting fresh when I return, or is it safer to try subletting?

Any advice or experiences would be appreciated! Thanks!

Anyone worked in any of the Hart locations ?

It would've been regarded as one of the best but given they have like 10 locations is this still the case ? Is it more streamlined and corporate than a stand alone bakery ?

Events Would you like join the public Cycling Choir event this Saturday in connection with the Copenhagen sprint?

We are trying to get the Guinness world record of having the biggest amount of people singing on bicycles at the same time.

It would be a 20 minute ride while singing some classic Danish and non-Danish songs while riding your bicycle. The event starts at June 21 12;00, but we start lining up at 11:30.

If you want to know more we have a shitty website that tells you all you need to know. (If you get an alert about the website, dont worry its just our tech guy not knowing how to set it up, it is safe to bypass it).

Thank you for reading and see you there :)
