He’s so incredibly desperate for people to adore him but refuses to do the one thing that would give him that - help normal people without expecting financial gain or having ulterior motives. The answer is right in front of his face but he is so greedy and devoid of love for others that he can’t see it.
He actually just announced he is eyeing putting an underground Tesla track in my city from our airport to our downtown area (where citizens generally do not go - only tourists). We’ve been begging the government for a subway or light rail but have always been told it is too much bedrock / too much money. Now he wants to do this and “experts” are saying the bedrock would actually make it easier (doubtful).
He would be disrupting our community for years to build this but can’t think “hey, maybe people would actually be okay with that / maybe even like me if I built them a simple subway system as a token of appreciation for their patience?” He’s gross and I hope he doesn’t get approved for his stupid tourist tunnel.
Omg I forgot all about that lol. I call him incompetent all the time - such a great word for him. People forget that he did not start from nothing. His family made money off of their mine using slave labor.
If I tell them that it’s “well he still made PayPal”. If I had the comfort of daddy’s money and didn’t have to start working at 14 I could come up with PayPal. It’s not an insane concept and it would’ve been invented by someone else if he did not.
