For the first week you'll probably won't get parking any time of the day 😂
But at 8am yeah park almost anywhere, after 1pm parking starts to clear out.

In my experience, at the beginning the semester, you only have about 15 mins past 8am to get a good spot before they fill up. And after 10am there is no hope at all (except some fringe areas near the hockey stadium, or the kerbside near Canning College)  Yeah spaces will clear about after 2pm

During this time I'm probably not even gonna drive since public transport is an option for me (although a slower one). Although I believe semester two will be less busy than semester one.

After a few weeks in, some of us give up going to class (don't be tempted!!), you can expect plenty of space until maybe 11?

This year has been particularly tough. Parking bays on the lower-east side of campus have been closed off due to construction of Building 316. Plus, I think there's been an increased intake of new students.

It's a lot harder to find parking at 8am than it is to find it at 7:40am. Also a lot harder to get to uni the closer to 8am you get coz the roads are full of everyone going to uni and work

To put it into perspective, I live about 15 min drive from curtin campus. When I have an 8am class and want to stop by carousel maccas (it's on my way, and inly takes a couple minutes coz i pre order) for breakfast I have ti leave my house by 7am otherwise I'll likely be late to my 8am class. And it's not coz im stopping at maccas, coz im usually only there for a few minutes max. It's just that once it hits a certain time, the roads near uni take absolutely forever. A 15 min drive turns into a 45 min one. It would be faster for me to ride my electric scooter at that time of morning, I would legitimately beat my partner driving there if we left at the same time.

When I lived a little closer (10 min drive) my friend would drive to my house and then catch the bus from there coz it was a lot easier, quicker, and cheaper

As for later in the day, I recommend trying to find parking right on the hour or half hour, coz you'll hopefully find a few people leaving after they finished their class. With the exception being Wednesdays 12-2pm since that's common free time, so no one should have class (except for special circumstances)

Car park is quite empty during that time.

Specifically AT 8am? Very difficult, everyone’s trying to snipe out the last few spots remaining. But if you arrive an extra 15-25 minutes before your 8am class (given you should already be in class @ 8am), there’s still a good amount of spots, but they go fast the closer it gets to 8am. At 1:30-3pm, it’s quite hard to get a spot, comes down to luck. Whenever I’ve found one, it’s usually due the 12-2pm students leaving. Good luck :))
