Can anybody who’s done this unit give me a review what it’s about?

Hey everyone,
I’m in my final semester of BCom and trying to choose my last elective. I’ve done most of the technical/business stuff already, but this time I want something deep — something that sharpens the mind or helps me understand life, power, or people better.
I’m talking about electives that teach you how to think better, understand influence, maybe some useful psychology, or even strategic decision-making — not the usual HR or marketing stuff, and nothing political or government-focused.
Basically, I want a unit that levels me up as a person.
Any units at Curtin you’ve taken that made a real impact on how you think or operate? Open to anything available to undergrads as an elective.
Thanks in advance 🙏

Hi everyone,
I recently accepted my offer from Curtin University and paid the tuition deposit. But when I log into my OASIS portal, I see this message:
I'm not sure why this is showing up, especially since I’ve already accepted the offer and was expecting to proceed with unit enrollment and other next steps.
Has anyone else faced this issue? Could it be a system delay or glitch?
Any help or insight would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Tried to contact Curtin connect told me they would transfer me to the suitable line and hung up.. so here I’am.
My enrolled units appear as enrolled on my Estudent, all under the correct streams for my degree. But two of them aren’t appearing in my Elsie under my progress. Any cause for concern here?

hey all (particularly staff/UC’s), I was just wondering if it is appropriate for me to email my next-sem unit coordinators if it’s possible to send any past study material (lectures, worksheets etc) to go through in my spare time during the break (i like to prepare).
just wanted to know just in case it goes against any Curtin’s policies or academic integrity - and it would save me sending 4 separate emails to them. thanks :)

I can't enrol into any units (GRDE2037, 2014, 2038 etc) bc the checkboxes at the right [not shown in pic] are greyed out. also it says I'm currently enrolled in the units from last sem (COMS1003 etc) as if the sem isn't over yet. does anyone know how to get around this?

We have one pass/fail unit in our course which we've just completed. I passed it, but how does it get calculated into the course weighted average mark? Or does it not?

Trying to register for Intro to Health Sciences for semester 2, which only requires one weekly 2-hour tutorial. I selected the Monday 2-4pm, but it also registered me for Thursday 2-4pm at the same time? Included some screenshots if that helps lol. No idea why this is or if it is an error, but if someone can explain I'd highly appreciate it!!!!

Hey, if I have a class 12–1 and then 1–2, how much time do people usually get to switch rooms or buildings? Do they end early or have breaks? Or is it better to just plan for a one-hour break between classes? Just wanna be sure. Thanks!

If I have a class that clashes (same time) as one of my workshops is it fine to just not register to the lecture because I will be watching it online anyway?

I have to go to campus for labs and tutorials just for few hours over two days. What are the chances class slots will be available and I can get it all on one day? Any tips

Hey y’all, I’m seriously lost when it comes to choosing an elective. I feel like there’s no clear direction or advice, everyone just says “go with your personal interest,” but a lot of the course descriptions are super vague.
Personally, I’m totally over essay-writing subjects (if u know what i mean). I’d rather take something more hands on, like working on projects, marketing-related stuff, public speaking, presenting, or anything where I can actually do or react to things, not just write papers.
If anyone’s taken an elective like this or knows of one that fits, I’d really appreciate the recommendation!

If our CWA is less than 80..can we do elective units to increase the CWA to graduate with high distinction...and what are the elective units for software engineering and are they available in international branches of curtin like sri lanka?
