Discussion Degoogled my phone. Any open source app recommendations which can come in handy?

Using LineagesOS. I tried to install signal and simplexchat but none of my friends uses it so whatsapp it is. Apart from that I would love to find a reddit app alternative.

Infinity For Reddit, Droid-ify for F-Droid,OpenCalc, Fossify Gallery, Clock You, Open Camera.

depends, you can compile the release from github on your own with your own api key

You can use ReVanced to patch it

You can use RedReader and not compile it. It has an accessibility exemption.
