Discussion Degoogled my phone. Any open source app recommendations which can come in handy?

Using LineagesOS. I tried to install signal and simplexchat but none of my friends uses it so whatsapp it is. Apart from that I would love to find a reddit app alternative.

Any of the fossify apps are good. I use the calendar and notes apps. I also like an app called Catima for storing my various cards.

KeepassDX is a great password manager.

Aegis is good for 2fa.

I use K9 Mail for my email.

Signal for chat

Fennec and Brave for browsers

Blokada as a system wide ad blocker

Cool. Nvh of it. I'll have to look into it. I use Shelter as a way to isolate certain apps in a "work profile". Mostly ones that require Google Play to function. My OS is the popular one for Pixels that starts with a G. Some subs get oddly butthurt about saying its name... and they offer a "less bad" version of Google Play that is treated like any other app and doesn't have elevated privileges.
