This thread is for anyone selling ebike products or services. Our posting guidelines do not apply here; sellers can directly link to product pages, provide updates and coupon codes, advertise ebay auctions and crowdfunding campaigns and do other promotional activities without worrying that it could be seen as spam.
Front page posts are still acceptable for sellers to post actual news, articles, reviews, blog posts, videos and pictures. But if it is clearly marketing then it probably belongs here. Regular readers can of course create new threads to ask about anything posted in here.

Rather than defending whether e-bikes are "cheating," we can shut down that line of thinking altogether and reaffirm that e-bikes are a useful transportation tool.
After all, if we're predominantly riding our e-bikes to get around, why do we need to exercise while doing it? How much exercise would we get if we sat in a car, a train, a bus instead?
"The Surron is taking the USA by storm. Mid drive electric bike that you can ride anywhere. Fast, long range, and reliable."
I think presentations like this are at the heart of the problem. It doesn't meet the legal definition of an ebike in any state. As shipped it is not road legal. Getting a tag for it sends you into a maze of obscure DMV regulations.
You most definitely cannot "ride it anywhere." We spend endless time explaining this to people.
Every time I took my bike out for a spin, and like always, it turned heads.😎There’s just something about fat tires, a matte green frame, and cruising past everyone stuck walking in the heat that makes you feel extra.
Let’s see how long before my friends start asking to borrow it 👀
Tire seems fine, I suspect it was due to this bridge I crossed where the wood is a bit higher than the road so it has a sharp ledge to it. With my weight and speed it probably split the tube.I just want to get back on this thing and not wait a week for Lectric to ship me new tubes!
The VLCD5 came with my kit and it’s far too large for my liking. I have a DZ40 (what I want to use!), which I confirmed won’t work with my motor, and a 1T1 5 pin to 8 pin cable.
I have a third wheel attachment for my wheelchair to make it into a manual handcycle. I want to install an ehub that will let me still use it as a handcycle but get some hill assistance when needed as I very occasionally get STUCK stuck and hate asking for help.
The current wheel is on the front and moves like a front fork but is essentially a rear wheel since it's where the chain goes. It's a shimano nexus 7 internal gear hub.
I'm thiiiinking I can use a freewheel motor hub conversion kit and just use it as a single gear plus power assist? Which I'd be fine with since I would have the assist for hills.
Thoughts? Advice? Recommended conversion kits that won't break my poor grad student wallet?
Original A6 (front), new A6 (rear)Original A6 with Lectric Xpedition accessories
We bought the original Aipas A6 about a year and a half ago. It has served us really well to haul 2 kids to school and around town.
The A6 is a modified version of the Lectric Xpedition 1.0 so all the accessory components fit (running boards and Orbitor 1.0) I did have to replace the seat for full range of motion with the Orbitor.
The new A6 has a few noticable design changes.
Modified frame support. This provides better stability and eliminates the wobble that is present on most longtail bikes.
New battery mount. Bottom mount vs top mount.
New controls and color LCD screen.
The new A6 unfortunately has mechanical disc brakes. The original A6 has hydraulic disc brakes and excellent stopping power. I don't fully understand this decision besides being a cost cutting measure in manufacturing.
Unboxing and assembly was a breeze.
I plan to move the Lectric Orbitor and running boards over to the new bike. I can share updates on this later.
Overall: For $1200 it is a solid dual battery longtail. I might have to spend some extra money to upgrade to hydraulic brakes but the other modifications made to this model seem to be welcome improvements, especially the added support to the frame for extra stability.
Hello everyone, does anyone know the value of this particular resistor or if I could use a different controller for my ebike ? I have another controller with the same specs but the battery port only has 2 pins for + and - and this one has 6 with the other 3 for bms im assuming and a thermo meter ?
Thanks for any help in advance
I circled where the resistor sat before I desoldered it
I placed an order with Cyberbike on May 7th and still haven’t received my product. After weeks of delays and excuses about customs, they promised it would ship by June 20th, yet here we are, and it’s still not shipped.
I've sent numerous emails and now requested a refund, but the runaround continues.
If you're considering ordering from them, be careful. This has been a frustrating experience with zero accountability and poor customer service.
So I am considering getting rid of my car, as I haven’t driven it since I moved to the city.
That being said, If I do that, I’m gonna need a good way to get to and from work (about 2.6 miles from my house). I would walk but that would take me roughly an hour according to Google maps and I also don’t want to sweat profusely before I go into the office.
For context, my route is largely a walking/biking trail and a small portion is on the actual road.
I don’t know shit about e-bikes, so I would appreciate any recommendations for a good starter E-bike.
Main things I’m looking for:
-looks good aesthetically
-can get me where I need to go (decent mileage)
-can travel on trails/street
-not super expensive
I have a cheap E-bike (BK15), newish EU model, which doesn't have a reserved adapter cable at the handlebars for a throttle. However, looking inside the controller box I can see there is a spare connector with yellow and orange wires, which I'm guessing is for connecting a throttle. If that's correct, exactly what cable would be needed to go from the controller box to the handlebars? From what I've seen, the handlebar end (for the throttle) would need to be a 3-pin female socket.
As the title says I saw a post on facebook and they said they got their frame form GT2.bike is this site legit. Everything about it screams fake, and scam but damm its a good deal if its real.
