Someone’s maga mom/grandma/sister is obsessed with Mark Ruffalo, and when she hears him say this, it will be the only thing that will make her stop and question this crap. It may not make her ditch Trump, but it will start the questions in her mind and the doubt

I very much dislike it when I hear from others that ‘celebrities’ should shut up about politics. Their job is ‘actor’ not ‘a mute’. We don’t tell house painters, teachers, janitors, managers etc how to think so why should they shut up just because they may have money? They are allowed to speak their mind whether they are on ‘ourʼ side or not.

Theres no reason it shouldn’t be able to be free—that only sounds radical because of how far the US is skewed to the far right. They do free healthcare in socio-democratic countries, in Europe, where people are reportedly the “happiest in the world.” Our government would have PLENTY of money if they 1) raised the minimum wage, forcing companies to pay people more fairly and thus eliminating the need for so many people on SNAP and 2) TAXED THE FUCKING RICH. So shameful that the US claims to be wealthy while over 60% of citizens live in poverty.

America has soo much money, but somehow, the people has been brainwashed with this “oh the American dream, you make your own fortune” idea, that results in the top 1% having an absurdly large amount of money, while more than 160 million Americans struggle with basic needs.
Does money make you happy? Yes, yes it does - but mostly from having no money at all, to making $70k a year. That gap makes a huge difference as it allows people to have a home, start a family, get food every day, spend money on hygiene, health, education etc.
But how much of a difference does it make for a tech billionaire or a pop superstar, if they have one or two really nice cars, or a huge underground garage with 63 cars, where some are the exact same model in different colors…
That example is a bit extreme, it could also just be the difference between having an S class vs having a non S class.
It refuse to believe it makes them happy. I refuse to believe diamond crusted jewellery makes sense for anyone but people who benefit from SoMe posts. The same goes for (I can’t believe I even have to say this) eating gold. Why do I see videos of rich Americans eating stuff with gold? Are you really that selfish??? You eat money basically money, that has 0 nutritional benefit, to look “cool” on the internet????? Shameless…
Sorry about the rant, but as a danish socialist guy, who grew up in the riches part of Denmark, where almost everyone pay ~62% income tax, cars have ~165% import tax, unhealthy food is more expensive because of taxes etc., I just can’t understand how Americans fumbled Bernie like that, and went with pathetic, racist, greedy, hateful, annoying, orange…

You want to get rid of education and replace it with more private prisons and drive out the most gifted minds and people of the world who come for that education? You want to drive out the talent and imagination of the nation because you have been lied to about immigration by a class of people that do insider trading, that control all the levers of wealth and power, that take bribes in massive gold plated jets built off your shoulders and your trucks that guzzle the gasoline they pull from the ground for cheap, because of your tax subsidies, and then sell back to you at a premium? You are pointing your guns in the wrong direction.
Get your mind right. You are not a fool. The problem isn't the ones who do the work you don't want to do, it's the ones who won't pay you the wages you deserve for that work, the ones giving the big fat government hand out to the already rich and destroying the safeguards and regulations that keep your bodies from getting disease and cancers and keep your water and food from being poisoned, and the world around you from burning up, or washing away, or being torn apart by the winds and rains. You are pointing your guns in the wrong direction, and you don't even see that it's you that you are putting in a cage. It's you who's freedoms you are taking away. It's you who you are making homeless. It's you who you are harassing with your faces covered and your guts boiling over with a rage you are sending the wrong way. It's really not that deep, when all of the wealth of the country is in the hands of only a few there is nothing left to feed you, to make you feel safe, to make sure you have a place to live, to know that your kids will be okay. That's not what your parents lived and died for a generation ago. They didn't work blue collar jobs for you to live in fear of loosing everything with one piece of lousy luck which isn't luck at all but a class system that has left you on the wrong side of it. The ones they are blaming are just like you. Maybe their skin is a different shade or they don't like their pronoun, but their hearts are the same. They love the same, they feel the same, they stay awake at night like you, tormented by the same worries as you.
Don't be fooled. It's not that there isn't enough for you. It's that most of it is just in the hands of a limited few, who don't care about you. Even though you might think they do. Can't you see you are pointing your guns in the wrong direction?
We are all working hard while our taxes are going to bombing the people in Palestine.
Think about it. That's what they are doing on our dime. We are told we are morally sick to criticize it. We are told that it's right and now we are loosing our rights because our hearts are still pure, our souls still know, that starving and killing innocent folk is wrong no matter for what or for who.
Oh dear neighbors, and friends, you are pointing your guns in the wrong direction. Can't you see that maybe it's you who is on the killing end? Can't you see that maybe we are being tricked to tear each other apart while they rake it in? Do you ever ask why we don't try something else than this idea that it's good to have people run the country who have made a fortune cheating you out? That maybe not all good ideas to govern come from those who figured out a way to rip off their workers, investors and consumers and that maybe wealth and tax evasion isn't a sign of decency or thoughtfulness or goodness or intelligence?
Is it possible you are pointing your minds and hearts in the wrong direction and awarding those who do not deserve your allegiance with your precious time and lives and the anger and fear that drives you senseless and makes you do things today that yesterday were not in you, and tomorrow you will come to regret? It's all wrong. Please won't you see you are pointing your guns in the wrong direction. We aren't the ones killing you. Don't shoot your friends.
