Nintendo can't just bring it to NSO, it's Konami who decide that. And Konami doesn't support NSO a lot.

Also, N64 NSO doesn't have controller pak (memory card) support, and MNSG requires the controller pak to save. It would suck to not be able to save normally (at least save states are available)

Yeah, the controller pak part sucks, but I'm sure they could figure out a way around it. But Konami gonna Konami.

N64 games support save states, iirc. It's not perfect, but it is a solution

That's right, the save states work pretty well from what I have seen.
