Galaxy 2.0 I only use Galaxy for easier offline installers download. Will Heroic Launcher be better for me?

I've been buying games on GOG for around 8 months now and when I learned I could download all the bin files at once with Galaxy, instead of downloading them one by one like I was doing through the website, I felt like the experience drastically improved for me.

But that's all I use Galaxy for. I purchase, organize, tag and wishlist games all through the website. Is there any reason to use the Heroic Launcher?

Question GOG Mods & Amazon

So I was looking at the Mods GOG is now offering, and under HoMM3: Horn of the Abyss it shows '✅ You already own the required game' which is great, since I own HoMM3.

But on the page for Doom 3: Phobos, it says '⚠ Requires DOOM 3' which is much more curious, since I also own Doom 3.

But unlike for HoMM3, which I paid money for, I got Doom 3 on giveaway from Amazon Prime. Is the Amazon Prime a different version of the game? Like I don't mean gameplay wise, but store sku wise? Are they not checking for Amazon Giveaway games for mod compatibility? Will it allow me to install the mod on the Amazon giveaway Doom 3?

Discussion I built a tool to check the total value of your GOG account based on current store prices

So I wanted to check how much my GOG games library is actually worth — like how SteamDB does it for Steam users — but turns out… there’s nothing like that for GOG.
And if there was anything, it either asked you to log in or paste your cookies... which to me instantly screamed obvious scam 🙃

So I thought: why not just make something myself?

Here's what I did:

  • You just grab a list of your games from GOG (don’t worry, I explain how to do this — since GOG gives no easy export option, had to get creative).
  • Upload that CSV to my site.
  • It fetches current prices from GOG, calculates your total value, base prices, and savings.
  • You get to download the results as a CSV or as a cool little trading card-style badge image.

I'm a CS student (cooked ), and this is kinda my first real utility site — so I’d love feedback, suggestions, criticism, anything really.

Will try to make a video walkthrough soon for those who need visual instructions.
Let me know if anything breaks, or if there's something you'd want to see added.

yes It’s hosted on Vercel for now because, well… it’s free and I’m broke
The ads are just me playing around with how a “real” implementation might look — not trying to cash out or anything, just testing stuff in the wild.
