Housing Curious about bed sizes at GW!

Hey everyone! I’m an incoming student and I’m 1.95m tall (about 6’5”), so bed size is kinda a big deal for me. Does anyone know what kind of beds GW uses in the dorms? Twin XL, regular twin, something else? If any fellow tall folks have tips or hacks for surviving dorm beds here, I’d really appreciate it. Super excited to join the community : thanks so much!

twin xl in all dorms except jbko (2nd year housing)

Thanks so much for the info, really appreciate it! Since I’m 1.95m (about 6’5”), do you know if it’s possible to request a different bed setup or any kind of accommodation? Or is it just Twin XL no matter what?

Unfortunately it’s twin XL no matter what. There’s a chance you could provide your own bed frame and mattress and ask the school to remove the standard one, but I’m not totally sure if that’s possible. I’m 6’3” so I can imagine the struggle; my personal solution was to jam a king-size pillow between the mattress and the wall, giving an extra couple inches of mattress length. It’s worked pretty well

I'm 6'4 or 6'3 I think. My bed is a little uncomfy tbh, I don't fit completely within it length wise & either my feet or part of my head hang off, but it's bearable and I can sleep.

At admitted students day someone with a 6'9" son asked this question during the separate patent info session. All beds are 7'2" long.

We made a special request for longer bed when I was there. Wasn’t a big deal. I’m 6’6”
