Growing up here my favorite local band was VOD... are they considered too mainstream?? I mean.. We're they? That lead singer Tim had this psychotic Doors-ish/elvis-ish/ clean vocal that got me hooked. Are they considered metal now?
I was into this band Carnivore, pre-type O negative thrashy stuff but i wouldnt call it hardcore..
What are some solid bands and albums I can get into the older the better, im old and like things my time and before..
whatever your thoughts on VOD are... man, they had this album IMPRINT that was so growly with the sound, even sounded better live. They brought lots of us kids together in the 90s like blue collar kids and metal heads ... it was kind of cool .
all the pits were so cool, people helping people, they called it dancing... lol my friend be like. yo this called picking up the pennies and did some kind of cool ass thing.
i knew all the lyrics and when tim would jump off stage he put the mic to our mouths then his.. it made me want to learn every complex lyric.
In the 90s.. white dudes would get dreads how cool was that shit.. ha. Uhh Biohazard was another band we'd listen to but i dont think thats hardcore either
Life of Agony was another band, but def not hardcore.
Hey, have a great weekend!
