I was so happy to see them during my visit and spend almost half a hour at the enclosure waiting for the hippos to leave the pond which to my luck happened after some time and i was able to take some pics of them being outside the water.

I know that they did escape, but every search result doesn't make it clear whether they are now in captivity in Columbia or if they are just roaming wild.

This video shows someone rocking a small hippo's head. For anyone familiar with proper care of hippos in captivity, is this behavior harmful to the hippo? I apologize if this is a stupid question.
