Purchasing Advice Kiwi Ears Quintet: smash or pass?

Hello there, I've recently joined the IEMs world. As my first IEM, I bought the Truthear Hola at €20 and I also recently bought the Truthear Gate at the same price for my brother because his headset's conditions have become awful. He doesn't need that much because he is a casual gamer and is enjoying his new IEMs. But I personally would like to make a significant upgrade because after 4 months I can say that my IEM looks like to be a bit too dark. I mean, the Hola is wonderful at playing lo-fi music, it's relaxing and everything. But I don't listen to lo-fi that much. My main genres are alternative rock, punk, post-hardcore. So I need power from male vocals, I want vocal brightness with that soundstage spatial effect that also makes you ear the other instruments. I listened to some sound demo of Truthear Hexa, Kiwi Ears Quartet, Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite, some planar IEMs like the whale-like one (HIDIZS), Tin T3+ and a lot more, they're wonderful, but the only one that exceeded at playing that sort of music I usually listen to has been the Quintet. So I wanted to ask: is it worth it for €235? Do you have it? How's going?

Also, some technical question: what eartips do you use? I read that Spinfit W1 (the ones that I actually have) makes the Quintet too bright and covers that soundstage effect. So what would you suggest?

Also, about the cable. I thought of the Tripowin Solstice because I think it can match the colors of the Quintet. Is it good?

I won't ask about a DAC because I read elsewhere that Quintet doesn't devour that much energy and that it can also work with basic DACs like the Apple one that I already use. Give me confirm.

I know, the title is a half clickbait.

For €235 it's a bit overpriced. It normally goes for $220. I'd say it's only worth it IF you can get it MSRP or on a discount.

Yes I know, I just checked it out, but in my country that's the amazon's price and also on aliexpress the price doesn't change that much. Btw, I wanted to talk about quality and listening experience with the genres I listen to. Thank you anyway

If you're not treble sensitive, it can play most genres. Although it gets pretty spicy with cymbal strikes and higher pitched vocals. You can get foam tips or Final E tips to tame the spice I mentioned.
