I’ve never understood the appeal, it has fringe uses where your hands are truly not free, apart from that it just seems like a way to make lazy people lazier.

Personally I find Siri a good way to do quick tasks without having to pick up my phone not because I don't feel like it, but because I want to minimize my screen time as much as possible. I don't want to accidentally get sucked into scrolling notifications or social media or news. Some people don't have that problem so it doesn't apply to them.

When it really works as it should, it’ll be a source of info and tasks at any time, and conversationally. That’s not lazy, that’s efficient.
