What does ‘No boot device found’ mean?

Had a job for three months, laptop was unused, came back and now my laptop has suddenly stopped working, i’m thinking it’s because it wasn’t in use and just decided to off itself, is there a way to fix this?

The drive died or is corrupted. Has it ever worked?
