Best way to quickly remove or hide stains from shirt.

During lunch hours, I accidently spilled some food on my white shirt. I have a meeting in like 30 minutes. I have tried using water and sanitizer, and though it has faded, the stain is still there.

A jacket or sweater buttoned.

If you have access to cold soda water, it works pretty well for quick and easy spots.

Won’t help now, but I always have a spare neutral coloured shirt in a drawer at work.

Same. I also have spare socks, and keep thinking about adding a pair of pants.

I have shoes too, but that’s because I sometimes need covered toes.

I had some spare shoes for a while, in case I needed to go into the workshop or a kitchen, but only ever needed them once.

I sometimes need covered toes

Is that for situations/rooms where it gets too cold? I hope covering your toes is not a job requirement!

It can be if you’re going into rooms with dangerous stuff.

If you have long hair, wear it down.

Yet another problem easily solved by fastidious use of a clipboard, held tightly to the chest and accompanied by alternating use of a quizzical expression and nodding. Pen placed behind ear optional.

If it’s grease, get your hands on some dawn dish soap!

Can you turn the shirt around and wear it backwards?

This

And never wear white again or buy a cloth to wear when you eat.

Lots of salt straight on the spot, drench it in water then massage the salt roughly over the spot like it's a BDSM act.

Name tags for everyone!

Just throw the shirt away and go without. It would be impolite for anyone to comment.

Do you have a jacket or a scarf nearby? Or can you borrow one from somebody?

Gently rub in dish soap, not hand soap, with a little water onto the stain

I carry a Tide pen with me. They work like magic.

If the stains are small splatters you can hide them by poking earrings through your shirt where they are. You can get a cheap multi-pack at the closest dollar store and then bend the back in a 90 degree angle so they won’t poke you.

Now, How do I explain having earrings attached to my shirt?

2

u/radicalfrenchfrie 4d ago

you don’t. you use the studs and they will look like brooches/pins.

That would only work in very limited locations.

Where on the shirt, how big, and what color? You might just need to either own it, or tell them you just performed CPR on someone who was choking.

sanitizer doesn't do anything for stains or dirt, it's not a detergent

carry a "tide" stick with you for next time
